Writing Round-Up 2011
I don't really know what to say about 2011 other than well, fuck. I had no idea that I had the capacity to write as much as I did before this year. It's entirely the fault of me discovering Sherlock at the start of the year and I'm just so, so thankful that I did. I've had the best time in this fandom and I just cannot wait for the second series and more fics and flailing and general brilliance.
It was also really nice to say goodbye to Harry and the HP fandom in a pretty natural way with the last of the films being released. I'll almost certainly return at some point, but for now I'm just going to let it be. It took me a while to convince myself that that was OK, but it is. It's OK. :)
What's been nicest of all about this year is the fact that I've felt not just inspired, but motivated to write. I honestly can't remember the last time that happened and actually creating things, having something to show for my daydreams and endless imagining has been lovely.
All in all it's been a cracking year for writing and I'm excited to sharpen my pencils ready for 2012! Fingers crossed next December I'll have surpassed my 2011 year-end total of 95,000 words of published fic!
