Well, once again, the summer hiatus looms on the horizon. In an effort to provide some Lost-related entertainment during those long months, your mods - toestastegood and me, zelda_zee, have come up with a few options for challenges and activities - and now it's time for you to give your input!

Something I really wanted to do after morlockific's Lost anonymous kink meme is a basic fanfic exchange. You know the sort, everyone signs up with a pairing/character request, a prompt or keyword or line and writes what they will or won't write in return, so everyone gets their request. Yes?

Exchanges are great. We did Lost HoHoHo during the winter holidays, which is a straightforward fic exchange. The Luau isn't exactly a fic exchange, but people do request what they want to have written for them, in a more general sense. Depending on how the timing plays out for activities over the hiatus, we can surely look at doing an exchange sometime in the summer or fall. Thanks for the input!

How about a six-word drabble-fest . We could also, take these drabbles as promts after like a week or two.

Great idea! That is very cool and I bet people would like it a lot!

Personally, I think I'd find it impossible, but I'd be all up for everyone else giving it a go! :)

Will the feedback challenge from last year also be running again? I would have liked to have participated in that but laptop problems at that time meant that I didn't in the end. (And I'll be able to participate more this summer as last year I got so behind with the luau because it coincided with my holiday, but I'm going earlier this year.)

Good question! I should have included it in the poll, probably. I kind of felt like it was all played out by the time we wrapped it up last year, but it's true that there may be new people or people who couldn't do it last year who might want to give it a go. Let's look at it again after the Luau.

I always like the hiatus. Such a welcome break from the anxiety of the show! Idk what's wrong with me, that I have it backward from how it's supposed to be.

I'd love to try a remix! I think the concept would be new to a lot of people, but it could be so much fun. I'd participate in that one myself, I think.

All of these sound awesome! I'm the most exctied about the Random-word Ficlet challenge, the Fic battle, and the luau. I like fic challenges because I don't write much fic otherwise, and I aprreciate the inspiration form prompts. The luau sounds really,really fun and I think it would help me get a bit more involved in the fandom, since I'm more of a lurker.

Last year's luau certainly helped me get more involved (even if a lot of it for me was a last minute job due to going away in the middle of it) so I'd recommend it to you from that point of view!
