It's Saturday!
& it's SUNNY! In NASHVILLE! Prepare yourselves, Jesus is coming, lol. I don't think we've actually seen the sun, much less for 3 days in a row like this, since June. Obviously, a miracle. Which really means I should get out & get those weeds out, but, um, I should wait until the ground thaws. Yeah, that's it.
My week ended horribly, so it makes today that much better. It's always that time of my girliness that I get all the horrible people that scream, cuss, & hang up on me at work (I've noticed it also seems to coincide with the full moon, too, hmm). We did get to wear jeans for our 2x/year "Cleaning Day" of which our department scaled back as much as possible this time, only allowing us to clean during the 1 hour we don't have to make calls (well, we're still expected to call, but when else do I have research & administration time?). I ended up staying until just after 7pm (officially off @ 5:30pm) to get some of my stuff organized, off the clock of course, because I've been needing/wanting to change the set up of my desk drawers & clear out some of my e-mails. I still didn't get it all done, but I had to get home, I couldn't do anymore.
& why are we cleaning? Because all the celebs & board members that will be on the grounds....but won't ever come up to our floor. Though I won't fully complain because 1) there's a LOT of grossness that builds up & it needs to be cleaned, 2) we get a half day off on the day of the awards (not the CMAs, but the day before, that each organization does). But this year, instead of coming in at 9am, we have to come in at 8am. Ugh! Thankfully, I have a 2-hour meeting that was moved to Tuesday, so I'll really only have to work for 3 hours.
But, as of 1pm Tuesday I am OFF for the rest of the week! I'm so excited to have some time away. This will start the holiday season & will extend to January 5 (when we return from Oklahoma). We went ahead & got tickets & are flying out New Year's Eve - I'm VERY excited for the holidays this year :)
Ok, I'm going to get back to crocheting, I'd like to finish my (first) scarf today. It took 3 tries, but I think I finally got it. Happy weekend!
