Nathan is in a lot of pain today. He's developed mouth sores which have also gone to his throat.
The doctor put him on a PCA pump, which allows him to medicate himself. However, it takes the medicine a little while to get through his system, so he's been in pain. The doctor reassured Nate that he will start to feel better, but while we wait they gave him an extra dose of morphine. He's resting right now, which I believe is the best medicine.

I can't stand to see my husband in pain. My whole insides ache and I feel guilty for not being the one suffering.
I can't imagine what he's going through. I see him everyday and yet I'm clueless at what thoughts might be going through his head. I would have given up a long time ago.
I guess this is what love will do to you. You ache in a way that words can not describe.
