My fandom year review thingy

Your main fandom of the year?
First half: Doctor Who. Second half: Supernatural.
Your favorite film watched this year?
Toy Story 3. I cried.
Your favorite book read this year?
The Temeraire series by Naomi Novik. I wish there were more books!
Your favorite album or song to listen to this year?
Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas, because ever since getting into Supernatural it makes me feel an irrational surge of love for the fandom. <3
Your favorite TV shows of the year?
Supernatural! Also, my love for Doctor Who and Merlin remains undiminished. Top Gear. Sherlock. FlashFoward. And I thought this series of Strictly Come Dancing was a good watch. (Go Kara! Woooo!) Ahem, yeah.
Your favorite LJ community of the year?

Your best new TV discovery of the year?
Supernatural! I can't believe how much I missed this show in my life!
Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
FlashFoward getting cancelled. The character extermination of Morgana in Merlin.
Your TV boyfriend of the year?
Castiel! And probably Dean. Also, possibly, Sam. And Simon off FlashForward, of course. ;) Rory from DW. And Arthur and Merlin and Gwaine. Hey, I have a lot of love to give, what can I say. ;)
Your TV girlfriend of the year?
Plenty of girlcrushes, but no keepers. I still fancy Katie McGrath and Karen Gillan because of Teh Pretty, but their characters made me throw stuff at the television.
Your biggest squee moment of the year?
The Hobbit getting the green light, and all the casting announcements that followed. I think that squee moment has never really ended. YOU GUYS THEY'RE MAKING IT RIGHT NOW!
The most missed of your old fandoms?
Well, I can't really miss LOTR anymore when it's making a comeback (see above. Also: SQUEE). And I was sad that LOST ended, but made my peace with how they ended it, and anyway I didn't watch it as much after Dom left. I still miss Ianto like burning, though. So let's go with that.
The TV show you haven't tried yet, but want to?
I still need to get back into Being Human. And I get mixed advice from people about The Vampire Diaries: some say it's awful, others that it's the best thing since sliced bread. My brother keeps trying to sell How I Met Your Mother to me, but I'm reluctant to watch anything with tinned laughter in it.
Your biggest fan anticipations for the New Year?
THE HOBBIT EEEEEEE. Going on a Tolkien tour of New Zealand with samena. More Supernatural. More Merlin. More Doctor Who. Hopefully Torchwood will finally come back. The last HP film. Dom's new projects.
