Monday - Thursday: "I should really do X, Z, and AAA before I leave on Friday. Or I could go visit people! and make cookies!"
Friday: Driiiiiiive to New York City. Holy tolls batman! It costs $12 just to get onto the Island (via the George Washington Bridge at any rate). Mom, I think I owe you toll money..
Yay visiting James!
The DragonForce concert was loud and awesome and loud, in approximately that order. The warm up band (Power Glove) was probably equal in greatness to the headliner, in part because they were doing hard metal version of video game songs, and in part because the DragonForce lead singer had laryngitis.
Saturday: Yay Jame's mom bought a bunch of jewelry!
Woo! Tourist-ing in New York City! (for what, four hours?)
Also, taxis. They are scary business. But much much better than me driving. I tried to only look *up* out the windows, and not at the street...
Went to the Bagel Plant (plant like factory) and had the most amazing triple dark chocolate donut ever, plus purchased vanilla bean, matcha, and creme brulee donuts. Walked through parts of Times Square. Saw the ball waiting for New Year's Eve, was unimpressed. Had pizza.
Need to start a list; have had pizza in New York, everything-dogs in Chicago, and cheese steaks in Philadelphia. Next?
Also drive drive drive home.
Sunday: Craft Fair! Made some money!
Promised to wait until after the craft fair to start doing things with chainmaille. Well, I made it a whole 6 hours.
New Favoritest Place Ever-->
Blue Buddha BoutiqueAnd they're based in Chicago! Time for visits!
Oh sleepy time. Chances are I will wake up in the morning with zero momentum, despite that I spent the whole week knowing I should be doing *stuff,* and the whole weekend trying to think of all the *stuff* I'd have to do when I get home. Nothing gets you motivated like 5 hours of sleep and an 8 hour drive...
