Cookie Nomsday
I am declaring this the Official Unofficial First Experimental Test run of Cookie Nomsday. We will not let Teh Mondays push us down, drag us out of bed against our will or.... well, at least we demand to have tiny bite-sized baked treats to look forward to when we get to work. Cookies for everyone!
It being Holidays, and therefor cold, I am thinking spice cookies. Semi-savory spicy snacks that warm you from the inside, which can be chewy, crispy, or crunchy.
Molasses Cookies have everything; ginger, clove, allspice, and cinnamon, plus enough gooey sweet stuff to make it all stick to your insides.
These Ginger Snaps have pepper thrown in for extra warm fuzzy crunchy spice.
But you know what i think? If we can put ginger and clove and pepper in cookies, all of which straddle the line on sweet/savory additives, why not push it?
Nutmeg.
