live action "the grinch" is a bad movie
something weird happened this week. i... i had a bit of... a life?
last saturday was the day i ate dinner, played in wal-mart, and watched movies w/ new theatre friends.
wednesday night, i went to this guy, todd's party. mhmm... brittny... at a party... w/ some senior guy i hardly know and a house full of his drunk friends. i still didn't drink so don't get your hopes up. i spent the night watching them play beer pong and talking to every drunk guy like he was five. i also became best friends (well, SHE thought we were) with some random tiny girl and gave her advice on her sex life. i made three bucks, walked todd home, and left him w/ his hanson-lookin roommate who had spent the night 'trying to get to know me.' then todd passed out but i was gone so twas okay.
over the next few days, half the drunk guys found me on myspace or facebook and i've been invited to two more parties since then. apparently a sober girl who talks down to everyone is good company? or maybe they just think they'll get me drunk and we'll have a gang bang in the kitchen.
thursday night was my concert and not only did my parents come to see me, but so did andrew, shley, and my theatre friends came w/o me even asking them to. i had solos and i played them fairly well.
today, i spent my entire shift talking to books-a-million people who seem to think i'm great fun and then i was asked on a date by the cute guy i work with. that's right-- brittny went on a real date to get to know a nice guy. that went well. ate dinner at ihop. i bought dinner. sat and talked from 4:15ish till 6:45. long time to make conversation w/ someone you don't know but went well. went to movies. he bought the tickets. watched "blood diamonds" which was a pretty good movie. long, but good. he put his arm around me in the movies but never tried to put any other moves on me. that was nice. he took me back to get my car but i didn't hug or kiss him goodbye or anything, but we agreed we should do it again sometime.
so that's been weird. i've been talking to mom on the phone and have spent more time w/ jeanine. my scene partner, haley, is introducing me to some people on our hall and she's fun, too. i had poor sick andrew for a while friday which is always nice. now i just miss my dog.
next week is exam week. next friday is girl night where me, amanda, jen, ashley, and shley are going to open our christmas presents to each other that are "under" the "tree" and watch "pirates of the carribbean (which conosnant is doubled? i know it's not both but i couldn't decide) 2" it's cold, but i'm happy.
