The view from my breakfast table & others

The view from my breakfast table:  the front garden with The Old Piggery on the left.  The white window on the right behind the roses is 'my' bedroom.

Later, I walked into town and was charmed by the honeysuckle growing against the wall around St John's. St John's street is filled with little independent shops and boutiques. Including the wonderful kitchen stuff at Steamer Trading.

In the midst of life, I found myself in a wild wood, wandering… (with apologies to Dante). One of the woods that surrounds Ickworth House, Suffolk. I went walking there on Wednesday. For about 2 hours longer than I expected when I was literally lost in arcadia.

Finally, coming home from Bury on Tuesday, I saw this perfect little poppy  in a hedgerow. I am mildly obsessed about poppies. Due to the cool spring, the poppies are only beginning to appear now. By this time the hedgerows should be full of them.
