good idea, and I think it will work on a small scale because people really need to see daily updates in order to stay interested

and people love to see pictures, I know I enjoy seeing yr dog

On a larger scale, unfortunately el jay in its present incarnation can never compete w/ tumblr or twitter for quick'n'dirty bursts of updation

Tumblr and imgur seem to have a lock on secondhand picture-sharing

Flickr and f-book (and instagram) (and other twitter-dependent sites) seem to have a lock on personal picture-sharing

Meanwhile el jay is still best for kommentude and personal writing (BECAUSE of th kommentude), and it is especially nice for multimedia posts (though still not as good for that as having yr own site)

El jay is a good compromise for users who don't want to spend too much time on layout/presentation but still want room to stretch their posts out

but th Internet is going th other way: compression

and linking and reblogging w/o adding really anything new

We're riding a brontosaurus here

a few of us still like to generate original content (pics) without the hassle of creating a new site. we're riding lj into the sunset. tumblr is great for fluff and creating randomness (flickrpervs.tumblr.com) but it's shit if you need comments and not reblogs (the heart button, oyyy).

or sometimes i just like posting to my Circle of Friends.

one of those pictures that is bigger than yr screen lostcosmonaut June 21 2012, 17:48:46 UTC
are you a porn connoisseur? Some women, of course, do like porn -- mebbe mostly younger women who grew up w/ th Internet -- and I have known a couple ladies who knew a lot about porn, but ladies mostly don't talk about it or hate it

While writing this post I had to look up th term "human anus" to make sure I was using it correctly, and ah thought it'd be safe to look it up on Wikipedia but BANG there's a massive high-res picture of a lady's nice-looking big black ass right up top

I would never complain about such a thing

nah not into porn at all. does nothing for me. well, gay(boy) porn is great, but of course a dealbreaker for boyf. it's just hilarious how my safe sock post gets porn-drowned.

lol why tf are you googling human anus for???

one of my favourite things about th Internet is that Goatse, who was once a near-universal source of disgust, has been able to redefine himself and is now a pop star w/ 250,000,000 hits on his Youtube video, and he even gets naked in th video and people seem to like it
