I am making a Baldwinian/Streisandesque vow to move to the United States of America if Barack Obama is elected by the people of whatever country this is these days.

I was off the internet for most of the week last week, and my time that I was on was spent messing about with aviation photography.

I didn't feel like I missed a whole lot.

I started feeling bad for being mad at all my old LJ friends who just up and disappeared from the internet.

However, I still don't want to disappear like that.

th Internet still really deliver insightful commentary sometimes (slightly NSFW):

--but yeah I feel ya on both angles: I don't want you or any of th other old schoolers to leave, and I'm not leaving until I'm done w/ my project, but it just makes sense to leave if you're out there doing yr Outernet thing

It's funny/sad that after a decade of th Internet being as common as tap water, so many people are still ambivalent about it. You'd think some sort of practical/emotional equilibrium would've been reached by now.--mza.
