465660 act of seeing w one s own camera

watched a movie about a leper colony while eating dinner last night. It was half documentary, half poem. Leprosy is not incurable, it said. A month ago ah watched a movie that was 45 minutes straight of autopsy footage, wordless. Ah tried to watch it in th middle of th night. That didn't work, so ah put it on again in daylight, and it still chilled my skin. It's just a movie.

Ah have some questions that sound like questions a small child would ask. When you see someone in a coffin, there is no brain in there? They've taken it out. What? Th movie didn't show where it goes after that. A library? They've scooped out th guts, too. I think I knew that. I just never think about it. Th chest cavity hangs open; it looks like an unbuttoned suit jacket. I mean, I guess it doesn't look too bad, but I'm not going to ask any questions if you say, "Just burn me up."

About a month ago is when ah started shooting so-called footage of dead things, using my digital camera. So far: mouse, bird, squirrel, deer. There was a cat on th side of th highway ah nearly stopped for. It doesn't matter if people wonder what you're doing walking up th highway w/ a little camera; you're not going to have dinner w/ them. However, it does matter if you wonder what you're doing walking up th highway w/ a little camera. On summer's hottest day!

In fact, everything looks like a movie this summer; it's a real disease. It causes even th burbs to look as if they've just landed.
