So, lixie got Skyrim and naturalparagon started awhile ago and I just bought Dragonborn cause it's on sale and all of this is just making me want to blab a little bit about my Skyrim "world". Because I'm weird and have like, 10 characters and I'm pretending they all exist within the same world. DON'T JUDGE, THIS IS HOW I MAKE MY FUN.

(And yes, I have a spreadsheet, lixie, lol)

HANNE

total play time so far: 192 hours, 46 minutes (gross sobbing what is my life)
current level: 47 (i spend all my time building houses/rearranging shit in them...)

Story behind her name: I had just read a bunch of Danny Wallace's books and in one of them one of his friends... actually I think it might have been his ex or something, but anyway, her name was Hanne and I really liked it. So I had originally planned to use that name and make a Nord first, cause it was set in Skyrim and all and Hanne sounded appropriate. But when I actually sat down to play I was like EH because I played Oblivion as a Nord and wanted to play something different. I ended up picking Redguard but didn't feel like coming up with a name because I just wanted to play already! So I just kept the name.

So! Hanne is my main character. She's the only one I took through the main questline because she's the only one I'm considering to be Dragonborn.

Her mother's an Imperial with Breton & Nord roots and her father is a Redguard, and they both fought for Hammerfell in the Great War with the Aldmeri. Hanne left home before she was 18, eager to see the world, but her parents were angry and like, "why would you want to live under Aldmeri rule?" etc etc. So she is not on the best terms with them.

At the beginning of the game, she was exploring the northern mountains of Cyrodiil and went farther north than she thought. Came across a small camp (of Stormcloaks) being attacked (by Imperials) and was like, NOOOPE but still got caught along the road and thrown in with the rest of them.

She is generally optimistic and confident, but doesn't necessarily need or like attention. Also kind of a jack of all trades, master of none. She's done pretty well taking care of herself up until now, and she's always willing to learn new skills.

I play her as a spellsword/battlemage most of the time, with a war axe in one hand and some type of destruction spell in the other (preferably fire). She wears heavy armor and is not very quiet/sneaky, but sometimes when exploring caves I have her sneak anyway & use a bow & arrow, mostly out of habit. (Recently though, I have just been tearing shit up as a werewolf, so.)

She's a member of the Companions and she and Vilkas didn't get along at first, but over the course of the game they totally fell for each other. Vilkas first, naturally, because he didn't really like or trust her at all from the beginning, whereas she was like "whatever", but then he just totally totally fell for her. Totally. And she was still like, "whatever". Things really started happening between them towards the end of the main quest and. I mean. I just. <3 Still, it took them awhile to get married, and now they have a house (well, she always had Breezehome, but now they have Heljarchen too, which is nice and cozy and has a kitchen, a storage room, and extra bedrooms) and two kids (Lucia and Aleson), haha. VILKAS HAS BEEN DOMESTICATED.

It is hard to talk about her relationship with Lydia without giving away plot details! So, in an attempt to be brief: For awhile Hanne was only using Lydia to carry her stuff, but then the werewolf thing happened and Lydia was hurt that Hanne didn't tell her and Hanne realized maybe she wasn't being as nice to her Housecarl as she should have been. And then they actually became pretty good friends. And Lydia TOTALLY had a crush on Hanne for awhile too. And was totally writing friend fiction, you know she was. But then things started happening with Vilkas and Lydia was kinda sad, but then Lydia got uh.. er.. we'll just say another job and she wasn't around for awhile. And Hanne missed her and regretted sending her on said job. And Lydia also came to realize she didn't like the job as much as she thought she would. So after everything was over, Hanne built her a house (Lakeview Manor) and was like LIVE IN IT AND NEVER LEAVE ME. And then Lydia, who is a badass, does some cool stuff and impresses the Jarl of Falkreath or something and becomes Thane (even though this is not possible in the game and all in my head. SHHHHHH) and she gets her own Housecarl and it's a huge moment for Lydia, character development-wise. And Boom.

With Hanne, I didn't choose a side in the Civil War because I can't see her doing that. She'd rather stay neutral and she loves Whiterun too much. Whiterun is her home and she doesn't want to give it to any side, however, she does lean Stormcloak because if Hammerfell can break off, Skyrim should be able to as well. But stuff does happen and I'll get to that when I get to Sif. Post Civil War (or maybe still while it is happening, which is really just 'currently' in the game I guess) she is just hanging around, doing little quests and being domestic lol. Maybe she will join the Dawnguard, idk. She wants to kill vampires but she doesn't want to have to join a faction to do it.

SIF

total play time so far: 8 hours, 33 minutes
current level: 9

story behind her name: I had just watched Thor.

Most of Sif's story exists solely in my head, lol. I obviously haven't done that much in game with her yet.

She is a Nord and Proud Of It. She doesn't know this yet, but she is a descendant of the Hero of Kvatch(/Champion of Cyrodiil/Whatever They Call Her) aka Marta, my Oblivion PC & Martin Septim (BECAUSE THEY TOTALLY DID IT AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN SAY THAT WILL MAKE ME CHANGE MY MIND) (And also, possibly, Hanne is descended from Marta as well, but I haven't decided yet.)

So anyway, Sif was created basically because I wanted to play the Stormcloak storyline. She's primarily a sword/shield warrior and doesn't use magic (except for the basic healing spell, and then only when there are no other options).

My headcanon for the Civil War plot line is kind of a mix of both sides, and it's hard to talk about without giving spoilers! So... I'll just say that after a certain confrontation between Hanne, Vilkas, Sif, & Ulfric and a certain event, Sif and Ulfric and the Stormcloaks are returning to Windhelm and SUDDENLY! They are attacked by a dragon and this is the first time Sif has killed a dragon and she absorbs its soul and everyone is all OMGWTF and Ulfric is all "OMFG WE ARE GOING TO THE GREYBEARDS LIKE YESTERDAY" and so maybe later there will be this epic battle between her and Hanne lol idk. Because now Sif might be able to help him win or something idfk.

Also, Sif totally has a crush on Ulfric.

Oh, and how she finds out she's a descendant of Marta: Throughout the course of the Civil War she finds a series of journals that supposedly belonged to the Hero and eventually she somehow puts two and two together, even though there are a ton of generations in between them and er, idk. WHATEVER. But I really want to write Marta's journals.

PUTS-BIRDS-ON-THINGS (BIRDY)

total play time so far: 25 hours, 58 minutes
current level: 18

story behind her name: PUT A BIRD ON IT!

Birdy's an Argonian 2H warrior who prefers to use warhammers. She likes painting and drawing, pressing flowers, drinking, and shiny things. She mainly drinks to keep the bottles. She also was a vegetarian. For awhile.

She started out as the character I was going to do the Imperial questline with (Hadvar was just so nice to her in Riverwood!) but then she kinda dropped it for awhile and went to join the Dawnguard, but ended up becoming a vampire instead! Which kind of ruins the whole vegetarian thing. Idk! She's weird!

She probably helps the Imperials a little bit and gives them an edge over the Stormcloaks, but she's not really into it. She does like Hadvar though.

I still haven't finished Dawnguard with her.

(Also, I guess I'm assuming she was also at Helgen but went with Hadvar instead of Ralof. Sif was also at Helgen, but stuck with Ulfric instead of going with Ralof. Hanne went with Ralof. (What? There were plenty other people there waiting to get killed! IT'S TOTALLY POSSIBLE.))

KAL

total play time so far: 46 hours, 22 minutes
current level: 30

story behind her name: named after my Warden :3

Kal is a Bosmer/wood elf, mainly relies on stealth and uses a bow & arrow or a dagger. Not a lot of magic, maybe in the future, but right now I've mainly just been using Detect Life.

Was not at Helgen, haven't quite decided how she gets to Skyrim. Her origin is probably somehow going to be similar to the City Elf origin anyway.

She's primarily for me to do the thieves guild questline WHICH I AM SO CLOSE TO FINISHING UGH. I also play her when ever I want to be stealth as hell. And uh, she owns Honeyside in Riften WHICH IS AMAZING. I mean, I love Breezehome. It was my first house, so it's cozy and familiar. But I think I peed a little when I got Honeyside. It was perfect for her.

She has had run ins with Hanne.

The first time, she's just come to Riften and is talking to Brynjolf and doing stuff for him when Hanne and Vilkas show up, but nothing else really happens, she just spies on them a bit and doesn't trust them.

Then later, she is in Whiterun, breaking into houses and stealing shit from everyone while they are sleeping (which is so much fun lol) and Hanne and the Companions find out so they all wait for her to break into Breezehome and Farkas blocks the door and Hanne like, threatens her and takes all/most of the stuff back and is like "IF I EVER SEE YOU IN THIS CITY AGAIN" ETC ETC

And then... there was totally something else that happened between them in Riften, but I can't remember what. They end up forming a kind of uneasy alliance.

I think she will eventually join the Dark Brotherhood, but I'm not exactly sure how to headcanon it since Hanne has already done something that would make it er... difficult. Haha.

THEA

total play time so far: 2 hours, 32 minutes
current level: 5

story behind her name: I was watching Arrow haha

HANNE'S MOTHER!

One day I just decided Hanne's mother should show up and hang around Whiterun and nag her.

I suppose I should back up and talk a little bit about how Hanne and Vilkas came to adopt Lucia.

After Lydia was kind of dissatisfied with her new job, she was staying with Hanne and Vilkas in Breezehome for awhile, back in her old room. BUT you know, they had just gotten married and even though they had been together for awhile they were newlyweds! (And this happened probably a lot more than anyone would like to admit lolololol) There were a few awkward mornings. And so, Hanne ended up buying the plot of land in Falkreath because she didn't want Lydia to leave again or anything, but she didn't want to make her go back to SHT either (and lol I realize that looks like "shit" but I'm just abbreviating so as not to spoil). And it would still be close enough for them to keep in touch and stuff. Anyway, while Hanne and Lydia are off building a house together (lol), Vilkas is back in Whiterun running his shop (lol) and there is this girl he's never seen before and he finds out her name is Lucia and she's an orphan and he's got a bit of a soft spot for her and he starts giving her food and looking after her and stuff. And then Hanne comes back and she's like, wtf is this kid doing here? And they don't really "adopt" her yet, but they do start taking care of her. And the Companions are like built in baby sitters. And they teach her how to fight and everything. And it's kind of adorable. So Hanne and Vilkas end up seriously thinking about adopting her, and about then is when her mother shows up and is very Lucille Bluth/Mallory Archer, lol. Like, "You think YOU can raise a kid? LOLOL." She's not very nice, but she's just kind of sad/grieving because it turns out her husband/Hanne's father has died.

So Hanne builds her a house, lol. Because I guess that is just what she does for everyone, idk.

Hanne has been 'friends' with the Jarl of Morthal for quite some time, so she buys the plot of land and tasks Valdimar to build a house there for her mother. Thea insists on overseeing the construction, and when she finally leaves, Hanne is like THANK GOD. Now she is someone else's problem, lol.

Windshad Manor is nice and perfect for her mother, who is really into magic and stuff. It's got a library, an enchanter's tower, and an alchemy lab. And it's kind of isolated and quiet, which is kind of a plus.

And with her I plan to do the mage questline. I guess.

And I figure since I talked about Hanne adopting Lucia I should mention how they adopted Aleson as well, lol.

So Hanne and Vilkas were in Dawnstar, and Aleson legit runs into her and she's all, "Whoa! Where are you off to in such a hurry?" or whatever and he says whatever about taking food to the miners and Hanne's like, AWWW and Vilkas is like, 'here we go again'. And just as Aleson mentions his dad being dead, ANCIENT DRAGON ATTACK. Hanne tells Aleson to get to the Inn and shouts at the dragon, and everyone in the town starts fighting the dragon. Aleson of course does not listen and starts throwing rocks and maybe the food he was carrying at the dragon. TLDR: in the fight, Aleson gets injured. Hanne and Vilkas take him to the Inn(? I guess? Or somewhere?) and as he's recovering in bed, Hanne is like, "I think I wanna keep him." And Vilkas is like, "OH BOY." (But he can't really talk because Lucia was ALL HIM.) And come on, this kid threw a ROCK at a DRAGON. He is definitely worthy of being the Dragonborn's kid! And uh, yeah, that's about it!

Also, Hanne totally gave Lucia a dwarven dagger as a present. Worst parent. Like, Archer levels of bad sometimes lol.

And the rest of them who aren't as important and don't really fit in with the others yet:

BRONWYNN

I actually haven't officially started. I've created her twice but kept getting this glitch where, when she was about to be killed @ Helgen, Alduin just kept circling overhead and wouldn't progress the story x)

She's an imperial who's going to side with the imperials, because I felt I needed one who was actually into it, since Birdy kinda stopped caring lol. I guess she is the Imperial equivalent of Sif. I'm going to try and dual wield with her.

IOAN

total play time so far: 1 hour 14 minutes
current level: 1

So obviously haven't played that much with him. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with him yet. He's Bronwynn's brother and he came to Skyrim to find her. Their parents were killed by the Thalmor/Aldmeri (I honestly can never remember the difference) in the Great War, and he pretty much raised his sister. He harbors a lot more resentment towards the Thalmor, and is kind of unhappy with Bronwynn for siding with the Imperials.

Primarily bow & arrow, and he's probably going to end up hanging around Markarth. I'm trying to pair everyone up with a house because like, what does Hanne need a million houses for?

R'HAJA

Also haven't officially started. It was the same night I was having a problem with Bronwynn. I think there was something wrong with my save, because I just kept loading the Nord Level 1 save to avoid playing through the part in the cart. She looked really cool too :c I want to have her focus on unarmed/melee attacks and magic.

She is a Khajiit, named after Rajah from Aladdin, lol.

RAYYA/RAEL

LOL And another one I haven't started. I named her after Tali, but just realized it is also the name of the Housecarl you get with Lakeview Manor. Oh well.

She is my dunmer/dark elf, and I'm intending on having her be the same character from Morrowind, which is why I haven't started her in Skyrim yet. Because I've barely started Morrowind. I read a fic where their main PC was the same character throughout all three games and thought it was really cool so I wanted to do that too x) Also at some point she is gonna contract vampirism. Not sure if I'm gonna do it in Morrowind or Oblivion. And I'm not sure how long dark elves tend to live, so the vampirism might be required for her to make it from Oblivion to Skyrim, haha. Also, in Morrowind her name is Rael (QUARIANS YESS) but I figured she would probably end up changing it or something, idk.

MAZOGA

total play time so far: 6 hours, 44 minutes
current level: not sure

story behind her name: named after Mazoga the Orc from Oblivion. MY BB <3

She is a vampire hunter.

Sooo yep, made her just for Dawnguard. She was wherever, heard they were reforming and was all I'M IN.

And that's about it! Eventually I want to talk about some of my ME3MP characters too, but I'll save that for another day, lolll

And ahhaa oh god I added up all the time I've spent playing and it is like, 282 hours SO FAR lol I still have so much DLC to play. And so much plot to get through! XD I love it though~
