I feel bad because while I'm watching Bones all I want to do is trash talk Castle, lol.
Haha we are like twins! I.e., basically everything you wrote.
I really feel like the only reason she is badass is because we're told she's badass.
This. And it's even worse with the parts that reduce her to a sex object. You don't see Brennan doing ridiculous slo-mo HEY LOOK AT ME IN A SEXY SWIMSUIT/DRESS/ETC. scenes. And Beckett never does anything wrong. Ever. She goes a litle crazy getting too involved with her mother's case, but that's it. Brennan hurts people's feelings. A lot, lol. She says stuff she shouldn't and then struggles to apologize. But Beckett is always doing the right thing, so there's never a chance for her to grow and mature. Only Castle seems to be the one that needs to learn lessons...
and it's always one of the first people they question.
Bones has a similar pattern, though. Lol, it always makes me think back to one of Dwight's quotes: "I know it wasn't her. It's never the ones you most suspect. It's also not the ones you least expect, since anyone with half a brain would suspect them. Therefore, it has to be Phylis, or Beatrice, the one I most medium suspect." AND HE IS SO RIGHT. XD

So, I'm in the middle of S3 and I know after awhile you started to not like Booth... I'm not getting that yet. Maybe I will later? Does he get 'worse'? I know sometimes he can be a bit of an asshole and sometimes he does get kind of annoying and impatient but I don't think it's enough to make me dislike him. It's part of his charm? lol I think all the good parts make up for his occasional assholey-ness. I just watched the S3 Christmas ep where he brought them the tree! slajfldjasflksd (though it was a little creepy of Caroline to be all "MAKE OUT". It was cute, but I kind of would have liked their first real on screen make out to be a bit more natural. Idk, so I'm torn.) /rambling

Yes. I liked it earlier on when she would get dressed up because it was like, hey, she may be a kickass cop, but she can still be a girl. It made me realize my Shepard could wear dresses and not be weird about it. Not that she does, but if she wanted to, she could, because up until then all the Shepard fics were like, "I MUST WEAR PANTS ALL THE TIME!!" But, uh, anyway. The more recent Beckett stuff is just annoying, especially the slo-mo. Ugh.
Even when Beckett does do stuff wrong, she never gets in trouble. Like that one where they went to L.A., it looked like she was going to get in trouble, but nothing really happened. You def hit the nail on the head. There's no room for any kind of development!
LOL YES! That is one of my favorite Dwight quotes. Yeah, they both have a pattern, but I think Castle's is worse, lol. They just haul every suspect in and shout at them like Cole Phelps. There have been a few episodes of S3 (Bones, not Castle) that I've already seen, which is really disappointing, but the few that I haven't seen, I'm like, calling it within the first few minutes. I just felt like S1 & S2 was more of a ~mystery~. Maybe I've just been watching too much, lol.

IA. I also love the episode (S1 maybe?) where Hodgins helps Booth break out of the hospital, and even though he's in complete pain, he still hobbles off to rescue Brennan. The part where he's untying her or whatever and they fall into an embrace it's like, asdflkdsajflksdajfas. There were tears, man. There were tears.
I think what really made me not like Booth for a while was how he started acting when Brennan hooked up with Sully. Like he was clearly jealous (though he probably wasn't completely conscious of it) but didn't know how to deal with it other than interrupting all their dates and everything. Idk, maybe it wouldn't be as bad if I watched it a second time. I just remember wanting to shout at the TV "GROW UP AND DEAL WITH IT, BOOTH." lol
Yeah, I did really like that one episode where Castle goes undercover at some Russian poker game, and then Beckett decides to go in herself. That was hot (but probably mostly cause of the accent, haha). But after that, it got really old really quickly.
Lol, speaking of dresses, although I thought it was totally awesome that Shepard finally got to wear a dress in Kasumi's DLC, I lol'ed at the way Shepard carried herself 'cause it just looks awkward. But in a way, it kind of made me love her more. My Shepard is totally not a girly girl, though she fancies the idea from time to time.
Lol after wearing all the military garb, I can only imagine what Kaidan and Shep's reactions are when they see each other in formal wear for the first time. They'd probably just call it a night right then and there. XD

NEVER. The more we talk about it, the more I want to go back and rewatch everythinggggggg. But there are still so many good shows I need to catch up on! I swear I've watched more TV this year than I have my entire lifetime. Well, decent TV, anyway.

I just watched the S3 episode with her dad's trial and man, I was bawling at the end. ~That's a lot of heart, Bones~ (I'm a few eps into S4 and I have to say... not liking it as much. I hate Daisy. I hate Daisy so fucking much. I don't understand what Sweets sees in her. Why is she still around? Don't they like, get engaged later? WTF is that shit? What writer thought that creating her was a good idea? I miss Zack like crazy and all the Wendells and Vincent Nigel-Murrays in the world cannot make it better :C)
Ohh right. I loved Sully! (I want to start watching Warehouse 13 because he's in it! And I've had S1 of Buffy sitting around forever...I might start that for some Boreanaz.) But yeah, Booth was definitely being an immature jackass. Especially the one time Bones and Sully were sitting on his boat and Booth got ALL up in their business. I don't remember what exactly was going on, but I know I was like ":I". He was acting like a child.
Haha yes, I totally agree about the Kasumi dress. I just wish it wasn't sleeveless! It was not very flattering. For some reason it looked really good on my adept, but not as good on Marian. Which...is weird because it's all the same model. But sometimes I feel like my different Shepards have different body types! I know I'm probably imagining it, but still. Anyway, I can't imagine Marian would have looked good in it anyway because I've always figured she would have big shoulders/a more muscular upper body (even if I don't draw her that way) since she's a ~vanguard~ (Man, I was going to go to bed after this but now all I want to do is figure out what dress Marian would wear.) I also didn't really like the collar. TL;DR I JUST THINK IT WAS KIND OF AN UGLY DRESS. There, I said it. /superficial

Omg that's right, I wasn't even thinking about the new captain! I wonder who it's going to be! :o I liked Montgomery but he was way too nice to everyone. It should totally be Caroline Julian. I would love to see her not take any shit from them and call everyone out on their shenanigans.
But there are still so many good shows I need to catch up on!
Oh man, me too. I have 8 seasons of different TV shows checked out from the library! I'm going a little crazy... but ever since I discovered they have like, every awesome show ever made I am all over it. I can't help myself! And it's free~
