(no subject)
joe's wake on thursday and funeral on friday were the hardest I've ever been to and I never knew Joe personally.. I talked to him and saw him all the time.. and heard way too much information about him.. but he wasn't a good friend or anything like that.. but it was hard for ME to watch laura especially. christine was so numb and barely even cried. she put her energy into making gifts for laura and stuff... kept herself busy to avoid feeling i guess? i duno... but watching laura.. the readings at the church were really nice.. and blane's son wrote the nicest, saddest little thing.. but didn't have the strength to read it so the priest did.. it was intense.
the lunch was at the fire hall.. and it was nice. sat with blane & his family and some people from work & christine... laura wanted everyone's attention and tried saying how thankful she was that everyone came, etc. and how hard it was for her to come to the hall but how joe was such a happy, party, beer drinking person [we all laughed at how on 4 huge posters of picutres, there was probbaly 5 of them without a beer in joe's hand] and how he would have wanted everyone to just have fun with each other.
seeing her barely get the words out..ugh.. i wish there was something to take away the pain.
work's just been weird, talk of laura, joe and stuff... i talked to blane for almost an hour yesterday after we closed about death.. finding people dead.. his son, him, nick's situation.
found out that ashley spent that weekend with a guy i work with too... small world.
and yesterday sarah quit. in case you don't know about her, she barely works, she never shows up for her shifts, calls in every other day or goes home early cuz she's "sick" or whatever is wrong with her. she started this big whole thing about a "hit list" and people who she didn't like at k were on it.. or something, i dunno. blahhh and laura absolutely hated her and said a million times that she was being fired and needed to get outa there, etc. to us. anwyays, sarah didn't even have the decency to put in 2 weeks or to even tell blane. she called in last night and showed up at work at 4, asked for her check and told judy she was quitting and wouldn't be working at 5. soooooo i get a call about this cuz i was working at 5.. so had to find someone to work for her of courseeee.
but anyways.. melissa called laura and told her about it. veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy excited lol... we literally are throwing a party. we had chips, cookies, pizza & stuff yesterday night and i'm sure when i get there today, there will be somethin..
