brutti_ma_buoni asked:

If Mrs Hughes and Ruth invited Jeeves and Gene Hunt for food a) who would cook and b) what would the outcome be?

*waves hand about what they're all even doing in the same time period etc* I assume that Mrs Hughes and Ruth would get together and do their best with the cooking. Mrs Hughes might at some point be forced to send Ruth out of the kitchen, but she'd probably need her back to explain how the microwave works. However, the meal would not go well. Even if Gene's pleased with the results (and if he's not, he'll let them know all about it), Jeeves is going to be... politely critical. I suspect it would end with Jeeves going back and cooking everything correctly for everyone, by which time Gene would have gone off for some pub grub. Possibly Ruth would go with him.

Have you ever (honestly) contemplated Ace and Kryten as a potential couple? What makes them work/not work?

Not before today, but apparently they are Fated to be Together in this meme. Anyway, much as they'd probably get on, their romance is doomed. It's Ace. He'd be blown up before they got anywhere - and there wasn't really anywhere to go. Non-romantically, they'd be fun.

Combining Servalan, Darth Vader and Harry Sullivan: world savers, bickering flatmates or evil genii?

It's just not Harry's year or something, is it? I mean, the other two are probably going to manage all three at once if they wanted. But mainly evil genii/bickering housemates. That could be priceless. But Harry! His only course of action here is to quietly move out and let them get on with it. Or die horribly just for asking to borrow the sugar. Or worse, Servalan would have her wicked way with him. Move out now, Harry, quick!

femme_slash_fan asked:

If Avon and Darth Vader tried to cook dinner together how would they do?

The mind boggles. I mean, I'd assume that Avon would be able to cook something, for pragmatic reasons if nothing else. Darth Vader might be able to use Jedi skills... No, my mind, it is boggling too much.

If Jeeves bought Ruth a gift how well would they do? would they manage to get something they'd like?

This is to make up for the whole dinner fiasco, isn't it? I'd imagine Jeeves would do pretty well. As long as the present-buying was not part of some complicated plot to get Bertie out of trouble, in which case Ruth could end up with some very strange object she has no use for and which will shortly turn out to have been stolen. Though whether that's a wise game to play with someone who works for MI5, I don't know.

If the Tenth Doctor and Gene Hunt were the Doctors companions how would they react to the TARDIS?

Well, Ten would obviously make a rubbish companion for any of his other selves. He'd do what all Doctors do and criticise the decor and want the coral settings back. What Gene would do is a really interesting question, although as a companion he'd be bound to be a liability. And really shouldn't be leaving his post like that, should he?

astrogirl2 asked:
Lynda and Ten are offered one wish from a genie, but they have to agree on the wish in order to have it answered. What do they wish for? Or do they just bicker endlessly about it until the genie gives up and goes away?

Oh, they bicker until the genie gives up and goes away. Not because they couldn't agree if they wanted, but because arguing is much more fun, both of them would want the last word - and both of them would be very sceptical about the genie's motives and the wisdom of wishes. Sorry, genie.

Servalan and Harry Sullivan switch bodies and have to pretend to be each other for Very Important Plot Reasons. How bad are they at it? What tips their friends off to their true identities?

Presumably, Darth Vader set this up because of the flatmate business. So, the short answer is: they are terrible at pretending to be each other, especially Harry. Servalan would give it a go and Harry's friends are notably bad at spotting when he's been replaced by an alien/clone/evil whatever. However, Harry as Supreme Commander would give himself away by not having anyone shot, being nice to people and wanting to dress sensibly. And Servalan would probably either waltz off and leave the Doctor in danger, try to kill someone, side with the villain or seduce Sarah Jane and dress too flamboyantly and they'd work it out eventually. I hope.

Ace, Sapphire and Cally are challenged to spend the night in a supposedly haunted house. How nervous are they? And what happens when the house really does turn out to be haunted?

They are not nervous, except possibly Sapphire because she knows the terrible consequences of these things. Basically, I want this to happen. It would be amazing. And with Cally around, you've got someone who could interpret a little between an Element and a human who'd think blowing up the house would be a good solution. (Well, actually, Sapphire's fully used to working with someone who thinks blowing up a building full of people is a viable solution anyway.)

justice_turtle asked:

Ruth is naked, chained to Orac, and covered in cake. Whose fault is it, and what happens?

This just had to be combined with ladymercury_10's question for them, so see below!

Avon and Sapphire meet in a duel (or a fencing match or a shooting contest a la Robin Hood, I don't care, the point is their relative weaponry prowess). Who wins? Is there collateral damage? Does either one refuse to fight?

Well, Avon would win in terms of weapon use, but Sapphire would just not even bother refusing to fight. Go pick a quarrel with someone else, Avon.

Why is Darth Vader afraid of Mrs Hughes?

Because he knows if he met her, he would succumb to her rule of fairness and niceness and a well-run household? In another life she would secretly be an amazing Jedi? She reminds him of his mother? I don't know, but the idea of him being terrified of her is v funny.

john_amend_all asked:

Orac and Gene Hunt find themselves locked in a shop overnight. When rescue arrives the following morning, are they still there, and in what state? (It's up to you what the shop is selling).

The only way they'll still be there is if the shop is selling alcohol. Otherwise, the staff arrive in the morning to find the computer files wiped and the window broken.

Kryten and Ace go on a blind date. Do they hit it off?

I think probably, "Not you again, mate!" sums it up. And then they head off and blow stuff up. Kryten looks worried.

Eighteenth century pirate AU for Ruth, Ace and Mrs Hughes. Who gets to be the captain, and what do the other two do?

Ruth wants to be captain and Ace lets her so long as she can climb up the rigging and fire the cannon. Mrs Hughes is reluctant about the whole pirating business to start with, but rapidly discovers a new and lawless side to her nature that would shock Carson.

Maybe this is why Darth Vader is scared of her?

Servalan and Lynda are asked to infiltrate a nudist camp. How do they get on (or find excuses not to do it)?

Heaven help the nudist camp. Okay, so Lynda is in pursuit of a story and she'll do it if there is no other choice, on the agreement that if anyone tells Spike about it, they're dead. Several times over and extra if they happen to be called Colin. As for what Servalan is up to, there's never any telling, is there? Maybe infiltrating nudist camps is what she does on her holidays, which would probably explain why it's a target for a newspaper reporter.

ladymercury_10 asked:

Ruth and Orac are now in charge of a rocket ship heading straight for the sun! Oh no! How do they save the day? And what ridiculousness ensues before they get it together?

This works best taken with
justice_turtle's question, so, it's one of those pulp fiction scenarios - Ruth is naked, chained to Orac, covered in cake and on board a rocket ship heading for the sun! Orac, when she can finally get him to stop complaining and pay attention to her, deigns to override the controls and pilot the rocket ship away from the sun. After that, Ruth just needs to get cleaned up and find some sort of clothes on board and they can head off for a sort of happy ever after. After all, she's an analyst with a wicked streak and he's the most uppity computer ever. It could work.

Mrs Hughes, Ten, and Ace are playing Monopoly. Who is a dirty cheat? Who hoards all the money? And most importantly, who wins?

Mrs Hughes has never had so much adventure in her life before this meme. Anyway, Ten cheats, except actually he's just playing by his own invented rules. They switch to those. Ace wins. Ten sulks, Mrs Hughes mediates. It's hard to see any of them hoarding the money, though. Maybe Mrs Hughes does, because she's too careful to buy too much property? No matter which version they play, Ten can't stop landing on the income tax and also the Go To Jail square.

Avon, Lynda, and Jeeves are having a surprise party for Servalan. How does this go down?

Um. Well. Avon, Lynda and Jeeves are all pretty efficient in their own way. However, there is no way in this universe or any other that this is well meant, or anything but a trap. Servalan naturally is suspicious and doesn't turn up. She probably sends someone else in her place, who will be killed by mistake. Judging by the rest of this meme, it could be Harry.

swordznsorcery asked:

Who'd win in a sword fight between Darth Vader and Harry Sullivan?

That really was the worst house share ever, wasn't it? I mean, clearly. Bodyswapping was not revenge enough for Vader. It's just not Harry's meme. Even though he's actually quite handy in a fight, a naval medical man is not going to win against a Jedi. Especially not one who can strangle him without lifting a finger even if he did lose. Of course, at this point, he may not have been bodyswapped back and Vader thinks he's fighting Servalan anyway, I don't know...

Who would be best at thinking themselves out of a tricky situation: Avon or Kryten?

Oh, Avon. Kryten would be pretty good, but he's got pesky circuits that lead him to think sacrificing himself for others is generally the way to go. Avon... less so.

Orac, Mrs Hughes and Cally are stranded on a desert island. Who takes command, and who adapts best to the situation?

Cally adapts best to the situation, Mrs Hughes is used to running a household, so presumably she'd take command. Orac would just complain a lot and send out a distress call to the worst possible passing ship he could manage to come and rescue them. Just when they'd got really comfortable on the island, too.
