I snagged this meme off primsong.

When you see this, post a brief snippet of all your fannish works-in-progress.

I'm not normally too bad, save a few long-hand snippets lying around under the bed, but I seem to have a few half-typed at the moment. So, here goes:

Snippets as promised )

fannish scribbles, writing, allo allo, doctor who, chalet school, wips, meme

These look like such fun - of course, I'm biased in favor of finishing the Twofic first, but shall try to be content with the tasty niblet in the meantime. :-) I don't even know the Chalet School you speak of, but more Zoe is good for the world.

Thank you! You know, you should try Eight and Charley - they are rather old-fashioned and enthusiastic paired together. Like Tigger and Pooh on an outing or something!

As to the Chalet School: a series of British school stories written 1926-1970 by Elinor M. Brent-Dyer. There is something completely addictive about them and Chalet schools fans never find themselves able to stop reading the things. The first few are set in Austria. They are hard enough to get hold of in Britain these days, let alone elsewhere, though. I thought it would be fun for Zoe to actually get to go to school with people of her own age... :-D

Like Tigger and Pooh on an outing or something! - Hahaha, now I want a Winnie the Pooh crossover!

*puts hand up for anything with Eight & Charley in, because I love them a lot, especially that Pink Elephant snippet*

*also votes for Chalet School because yay*

Don't worry, there is no danger of me going near the Hundred Acre Wood. And I think probably the Famous Five would have been nearer the mark. But, yes, aren't they fun? The Pink Elephant got temporarily scuppered by the overdose of silliness that was How The West Was Lost.

And the Chalet School - well, yes. And while there may already be two CS/DW crossovers, I find they had a severe lack of Bill!!

... Oh wow, I just caught Crazy DW Crossover Syndrome from you. 1,200 words in my lunch break and no one but me is going to get it. You never told me it was infectious! But so much fun!

You have to share, though, so I can go "I've no idea what the crossover is, but this is great!" ;-)

Infectious? I don't know but the symptoms seems to be more persistent and violent in company...
