Oh, Spooks.

Most of the time, all my fannish love is solely dedicated to Doctor Who. But when Spooks comes back, I jump ship, right overboard with a big splash. Because you never know what will happen in Spooks; who'll be good or not, and if anyone will make it through the series. All that on top of sarcasm, spies, sitting on benches along ( Read more... )

I'm excited about Spooks too. And it being on Monday will make going back to work on Monday after a weekend off not feel quite so hard.

Yes, and Monday means it doesn't clash with anything else I do, so that made me happy. :-)

I miss Malcolm and Zaf - and Jo...

And Colin, and Danny, and Sam, and Tom, and Zoe and... Ah, Spooks... Actually, I'm starting to miss Connie. Do you think there's anything they can do about bringing back someone who was a double-agent and got blown to smithereens?

But Zaf, now - we never saw him die!!

I have this nasty feeling about Ros (one miraculous survival is more than enough for Spooks) and I'd really come round to her as the Queen of Sacastic Spooks. :-(

I presumed Ros was a goner at the end of the last season...

I was trying to be optimistic - until now!

If Ros dies I am SO writing meant-to-be-funny crossover with Blakes 7 afterlife fic. I can see Ros reminding Blake of Avon and Jenna. Sigh.

That's now the first good reason I've had for wishing Ros dead - B7/Spooks fic! :-)

ahaha you know once I woke up at 6am, saw that icon and recognised you for what fandoms you're in and said the words on the icon in the tone Ros said them in but had to think for two whole minutes whether it was Avon or Ros who said it. ah, mornings :-)

Ros (sarcasm, raised eyebrow): Well now, were there other reasons you wanted me dead?

Heh, you could hear Avon saying it, too. Aw, now why didn't we both think of the Ros/Avon potential sooner?

*backs away from Ros hastily* No, no, I *didn't* wnat you dead... That was what I said, really... Eek.

I have been so weird about this coming series, I don't know why - I've been avoiding all the spoilery posts and for some reason that included the trailer, but now you've posted it again I thought, SELF, TRAILERS ARE NOT SPOILERS WTF, so then I watched it and now I am kind of excited?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *flaily hands*

I love that quote about it being RUBBISH that Spooks is past its best. I am pretty much moaning about that a lot of the year, and then as soon as the new series starts I enjoy it immensely and am ashamed at myself for being ridiculous. I am the most conflicted fan ever.

Heh. I always find it's the Spooks trailer that suddenly remind me how exciting it all is. And Spooks trailers are rarely spoilers indeed. In fact some of them have been so obscure as to have me wondering what someone who had never watched the show would be thinking. Certainly not 'Hmm, must watch THAT...' (I seem to remember S6, I think being the title and one shot of Adam; and last year's seeming to rely on an auidence out there who knew who Ruth was...)

I think confliction (hmm. That isn't a word, is it?) is the nature of being a fan. We spend half our time complaining about the latest episode and the other half watching whatever it is and trying to make other people join in because of the awesomeness.

:-D
