On the Last Chapter:
Kame stood up and was about to go check up on Emi when the doorbell rang. Kame frowned and looked at his watch. It was almost midnight, who would come over now? Kame gulped and looked at the front door. It wasn’t a thief, Kame was sure of that, a thief wouldn’t ring the doorbell. Kame walked to the door and slowly opened it. His eyes widened.
“J-Ji-Jin?!” Kame stuttered, staring at the man in front of him in shock.
“H-hey,” Jin smiled.
Ch. 19
“What are you doing here?” Kame asked in shock.
“I’m back!” Jin smiled.
“Back?” Kame frowned.
Jin nodded, “And this time, I’m staying.”
“Really?” Kame started to smile.
“Yeah, I took care of everything I needed in LA, gave my friend the key to my place and told him to sell it,” Jin explained.
“That’s great,” Kame replied.
He let Jin inside and they went to the living room. Jin sat on the couch while Kame started to clean a little.
“Sorry about the mess….” Kame muttered, “I told Emi to organize her things…”
“It’s fine,” Jin stopped Kame, “Just sit.”
Kame sighed and sat next to Jin.
“How’s the restaurant doing?” Jin asked.
“Good,” Kame replied.
“I’m sorry I didn’t call,” Jin looked at Kame, “I wanted to surprise you. If I had called, I knew I would probably give it away.”
“It’s ok,” Kame slightly shook his head, “At least you’re here again.”
“Something is wrong,” Jin frowned.
“It’s nothing,” Kame quickly replied.
“No, tell me,” Jin said.
“It’s just that Aki…” Kame bit his lips.
“I told her to back off,” Jin groaned, “Nothing is going to happen with her Kame, you don’t need to worry about her.”
“I know it’s silly and all, but…..”
“If I see her again, then I’ll make it clearer. I don’t want her,” Jin told him.
“Maybe you should ask her out,” Kame mumbled loud enough for Jin to hear him.
“Huh?!” Jin looked at Kame in shock.
Kame swallowed hard. He wasn’t sure why he said what he said. He sighed and looked at Jin.
“Sort out your feelings for her.”
“I have no feelings for her,” Jin replied.
“But you used to,” Kame continued, “I wouldn’t get angry, Jin.”
“But I don’t want her!” Jin exclaimed, “I want you. I love you!”
Kame started to blush, “But I don’t want to be the reason that will make you wonder what if….”
“What if….? Huh?” Jin frowned.
“If you did go out with her,” Kame gulped.
“Why are you asking me to do this?” Jin asked, “I already told you that I don’t even like her.”
“….Just ask her….” Kame looked down.
“I don’t understand though,” Jin said.
“Jin, just-”
“Fine, I won’t start arguing with you,” Jin interrupted, “I’ll do it, but I’m not happy about it!”

When Kame reached the restaurant the next day, he was greeted by all his friends and co-workers. While he was helping prep the kitchen for the night’s service, he and Rina began to talk about what happened last night. At first, Kame could tell she was happy that Jin returned, but then he told her about his conversion abut Aki.
“You told him to WHAT?!” Rina yelled.
“It’s the best way to-”
“To what?! Hurt you?!” Rina interrupted, “Why the hell would you tell him to go out with that bitch?!”
“You don’t understand,” Kame replied.
“Why would you do that to yourself?” Koki popped into their conversion.
“No, that’s not the right question,” Rina looked at Kame, annoyed.
“What is, Rina?” Kame asked, getting angry.
“Why are you so afraid of being with Jin?”
Kame stared at Rina in confusion. He opened and then closed his mouth. More people turned and looked at Rina and him. He saw Koki and Nakamaru frowning at him. He gulped and then answered her.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You know exactly what I’m talking about!” Rina crossed her arms.
“I-”
“No! You idiot, he loves you! Why are you so scared about being with him?!” Rina yelled, “Last year with that kiss and now with that bitch, you’re always pushing him away. He wants you! He just dropped his life in L.A. to be with you! Doesn’t that mean anything to you?!”
“We just want to best for you, Kame,” Nakamaru added, weakly smiling.
Then, Koki dragged Kame into the office so they could talk without their workers getting involved. Rina and Nakamaru followed them into the office.
“Are you sure that you really want Akanishi to do this?” Koki asked, “Have you though this out?”
“I….I just wanted to give him a chance….” Kame answered.
“For what?!” Rina exclaimed, “I-”
“Let Kame talk!” Koki loudly interrupted.
Kame looked at his three friends. He knew that they all wanted the best for him, but he also knew that none of them would actually understand his reasoning. He didn’t quite understand his own reasoning…
“I thought it would give Jin a chance to sort out his old feelings for her….” Kame continued with his answer.
Koki sighed, “Well, if that’s how you feel, then we’ll-”
“That’s a ridiculous reason,” Rina replied, “You’re just afraid of being in a relationship!”
“I’m not afraid!” Kame glared at her.
“Whatever, Kamenashi, do what you like.”
Kame bit his lips from yelling at her. Rina rolled her eyes and walked out of the office. Koki and Nakamaru glanced at each other before looking back at Kame.
“Kame….” Nakamaru began.
“No, I’m fine,” Kame looked at his two friends, “If she can’t understand on her own, I can’t force her to.”

After the night’s service, Kame made his way back home. He was thankful that Rina didn’t lash out at him during the service, but he did feel bad after their talk. When he tried looking for her after the service, Koki told him that he saw her leave. Kame sighed to himself.
When he reached his apartment, he saw Emi doing her homework on the dinner table and Jin lounging on his couch, watching television.
“What are you doing here?” Kame asked.
“I saw Emi walking home so I decided to keep her company,” Jin smiled.
“Jin-sensei has been helping me with homework,” Emi told Kame, “He’s good in math.”
Kame’s eyebrows rose, “Oh yeah? I recall him always copying my math homework.”
Emi giggled, “Really?”
“Hey! To my defense, high school math is much harder than elementary school math,” Jin stubbornly replied.
Kame smiled and shrugged. He went to change his clothes before joining Jin and Emi in the living room again. Then, he sat next to Jin, who kissed him on the cheek before turning his attention to the television.
“So, did you talk to Aki?” Kame nervously asked.
“Yes,” Jin glanced aside, “We bumped into each other.”
“Oh….” Kame gulped, “When it is?”
“The day after tomorrow,” Jin replied.
“Ok,” Kame gulped.
A few quiet minutes passed before the doorbell rang. Emi jumped up and quickly ran to open the door.
“Rina-chan!” Emi happily exclaimed.
“Hey girlie,” Rina smiled, walking in.
Kame stood up when he saw her, “Rina….”
“I came to take my things,” Rina told him.
“Ehh? Rina-chan is leaving?” Emi looked at Rina, giving her a sad look.
“The building management fixed the problem so I’m going back,” Rina explained.
“But I don’t want you to go, Rina-chan,” Emi pouted, “I’m going to miss you.”
“You’re always invited to come over, Emi-chan,” Rina smiled, “Plus I’ve been a burden for long enough.”
“Burden?” Emi frowned.
“Rina, can’t we-” Kame started.
“It doesn’t matter,” Rina quickly said.
It didn’t take Rina a long time to gather her things. Although Emi tried to convince her to stay another night, Rina refused her offer and left.

“Well, I better go,” Jin stood up and sadly smiled at Kame.
“You’re leaving?” Kame frowned.
“Yeah, I promised Reio I’ll stop by. I’ll probably stay the night there. I need to talk to him about a few things,” Jin explained, “I’ll see you tomorrow though.”
“Oh, ok….” Kame stood up as well.
Jin leaned in and kissed Kame before he left the apartment. Kame turned to Emi, who was smiling. Kame started to blush.
“What’re you smiling about?”
Emi shook her head, but continued to have a small smile on her face. Kame sighed and sat back down.
