So uhh... long time no post. Though I suppose that's a good thing, considering how hectic the past week's been.
Anyway I'd just like to recommend to everyone Enchanted. Yes, the Disney movie.
You DON'T have to go into the theater believing in "happily ever after" (though you'll probably be believing in it by the end of the film...), though if you can't stand seeing random people bursting into song on the streets, this probably isn't the movie for you. The plot can be really predictable at times, but it's carried out in perfect Disney form, seamlessly blending clever dialogue and ingeniously choreographed songs together to create an enjoyable movie experience.
Here's one of the songs from the movie:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=xRYU4cqUAUs The crazy woman is the Disney princess this movie's starring - Giselle, who finds herself trapped in the "real world". Robert, the kinda cynical guy with her in that clip, finds her trying to enter a castle painted on a casino billboard, and decides to try to help her. Through a series of slightly unfortunate events, Robert begins having relationship problems with his girlfriend, and when Giselle finds out, she attempts to implant the ideas of "true love", and that sort of thing into his head. And... that's where that song came in.
Basically, Enchanted is a really light-hearted movie that will have you subconciously humming the tune of the various songs long after the movie's over. Oh, that's another thing - the music is incredible. Not only the singing, but the orchestral stuff as well. Jessica, Yvonne, and I ended up watching all the credits because the music was so awesome to listen to. :3
...oh by the way, I think Robert is totally awesome compared to the royally annoying Prince Edtard. A realist, but really kind-hearted at the same time. And he has a nice voice. (Though he only sings one line in the entire movie...)
Winter Break. <3
