I personally was changed by the movie. It gave me a greater understanding of what crucifixtion really was. I thought it to be a simple nail in the hand, yes it hurt alot but i never imagined it the way it was portrayed in the movie. I'm just saying Florence, you really need to watch the things you say sometimes because you really offend people, including me.
And Mike, I understand that it was an actor, but watching the action of it is still like watching the real thing. The movie was done very well, and if i didn't know any better I would have thought it was a video taping of a crucifixion.
It does take the inspired word of God to change people, obviously, the story of the crucifixtion is in the Bible. A movie gives you a visual of what is going on and Mel didn't sugar coat it like we tend to do when we think about things.
