Some People Just Don't Get It!

So, I really feel I should comment on yesterday's chapel since I didn't... first off, major props to Clarissa who got up in front of all the high school and poured her love for God out through tears, go Clarissa! And, I've heard it said from a friend that the fact that people's lives were changed by this movie is stupid (and I quote) well, you see everyone is different. Just because YOU aren't changed by watching your GOD get nailed to a cross and betrayed by the people he's dying for, well, seriously, that's your problem. Yes, it is an actor, yes, it is special effects, but the story will always be true. The Bible can be seen as just a page with ink on it, but it is the inspired word of God. So reading the story of the crucifiction can be seen as reading a story, even though it isn't. Mel Gibson was inspired by God to make this movie, he was inspired by Jesus to accurately tell the story that so many need to hear. Why can't that change your life? What's so wrong with that? What makes that so stupid? And to you (you know who you are ) watch you mouth because you don't know who you have offended with what you said (not that you probably care though). There isn't anything wrong with being changed by a movie. There isn't anything wrong with being changed because you are WATCHING you very GOD get nailed to a cross, and all He has to say is "forgive them, they know not what they do" if that doesn't change your life Florence, I don't know what will. You can read it all you want, but seeing it with your own eyes... how can that not change you?
