Day 3

May 21, 2005 23:39

Just after I finsihed updating my live journal yesterday I meet a wonderful girl named Katy. She came in to use the computer. Chris and I tried to make her pay 12 euro to use it but she wasn't buying it. We started talking and found out that she was from Massachusetts. She has been here for almost 4 months in Florence on a study abroad program. Per recomendation of Michele, we went to the city square where the Friday nightlife was just tremendous. Talk about knowing how to party. We didn't even get back to the hotel untill 5:30 in the morning. Chris pretty much passed out right away but Katy and I stayed up another half hour checking out each others pictures (god bless the digital age). We finally passed out around 6 or so. It's so easy to loose track of time when you are amongst really cool people. Once again I didn't wake up until almost noon. I've totally got to stop that.

Chris and I took off for Genova around 4 this afternoon. An hour and a half worth of a train ride later we arrived in Genova, the Cruise Ship Capital of the Medeterainen. We are going to hang out here for a couple of days, go see the aquariam, go to the Cinque Terra (look that up it's really cool) and then take off back to Milano.

My experience so far here in Genova has been amazing. We have meet nothing but nice people whe are extremly greatful for what they have and don't complain about anything.

We went to this local resturant this evening per recomendation of our hostel host. We had this amazing Diavola; a combination of mozzerella, tomato, Spicy Salami (from Sicily), and oregano all baked on a wonderful hand-tossed pizza crust. It was cooked by a mid 50's Italin man who looked like he had been in that kitchen for his entire life. Behind him was a beautiful open-faced brick oven that was heated with wood and only wood. It did such a wonderful job with our pizzas. When they were brought to our table the center was still in liquid state. Absolutly delicious. As well we drank a bottle of 5 dollar house red wine..... talk about some wine. It was the best I had ever had. Made in Tuscany. I need a Tuscany in my backyard. Enough about food...

Unfortunately I can't post any pictures yet because I haven't made it to a computer that will allow me to save stuff on it..... soon I hope.... Soon.

Sometime around the 27th I am going to try to go down to Florence to see Katy before she leaves.... I totally have to capitalize on this because she has spent the last 4 months in Florence and she definatley knows her way around town. Besides... it's always good to travel with someone who knows what's going on.

I miss everbody so much and can't wait to see you all again. Thank you all for writing. I love to hear your voices.

One day, after I make my 8th million, I am going to bring everybody down here so that we can sit around and view some of the most beautiful areas in the world.

Till then
Caio

P.S. This time instead of not having any apostraphes.... the computer has the y and the z backwards.... how freakin weird is that?

P.P.S. sorry no time for spell check.... there are others waiting to use the computer.
