You know I'm a sucker for Combaticons fics, and yours are my faves for G1! (And I'm just crazy about your Vortex...which sounds...uh...wrong. o_O) Wonderful ficlet, very tense with a great balance of exposition and characterwork!

I'm glad the balance is right too! I generally try to avoid too much exposition, as it's very easy to overdo, but this seemed to require it. Nice to know it didn't tip it into the realm of suck :D

Gods, this is so awesome, and explaining and all and Vortex and... Awww...

I love the concept, and this line:

I wrote it to try to figure out a little of what went on between the other pre-war stuff in the Dysfunction AU and the Detention Centre. I think I have it a lot more stable in my mind now!

I'm planning a long fic to explore that, but I need to do a lot more thinking about the worldbuilding first :D

It's one of the things I utterly love about this fandom - there's so much scope for things like this *has squee*
