So, I have this weird autopilot thing. My fingers will keep typing even when my brain goes into blue screen of death mode. They will fill in a default phrase, based on previous experience, using only the last word typed before vapor-lock occurs. The bugs are finally on the run... The growth in my neck has gone down from Wiffle Ball sized to just barely a golf ball, and my fever has FINALLY broken!

What does that mean?

I'm at work.

It's taken me 4 solid years of badgering, needling, pestering, berating, nagging and practically begging my mother to go see a Pulmonologist, and FINALLY! After 4 months of being sick with various respiratory infections, and once again getting the "shove off" from the crackpot PCP, she has just completed her first appointment with the Pulmonologist ( Read more... )

My allergies are totally out of control. :p

Going to start on some new stuff tonight, and sleep upright for the next few nights until I clear the crud out of my chest. But I should be back to my normally grumpy self in no time. Hopefully I can survive the height of Tree Pollen season this year without sneezing out my spleen.

 I don't know if it's just my allergies winning out, or I'm really coming down with something, but dangit! I'm coughing again, and it sounds like i've been gargling drano. :(

Dosing up on OJ and soup today, and not leaving the couch or changing out of my PJ's and robe. :P Which means...I'm channeling Sick!Grissom today LOL

Baby's Home!

Doc came by a little before noon... Said her lungs were clear, the fever stayed down and her pulse/ox had been over 93 all morning, so he said she was good to go. My brother and sister-in-law wasted no time, and everyone is home and MUCH happier!

Just got a call from my sister-in-law, and they are taking my niece (pictured in my  icon) to the hospital. She's been diagnosed with RSV and they need to give her a full workup to make sure she doesn't need to be admitted for observation. She's only 2 months old, so it's a little serious, but we're hoping it's not really that bad.
