Piff.

Did you say "piff"? Why would you say "piff"?

On with it. The big news right now is my impending Hawaiian vacation. Well-deserved, if I do say so myself. E & I have already made plans for a gorgonzola pizza party followed by an evening of closeness & hotel amenities. The rental car has been arranged, so we'll be able to access our favorite beaches, nude or otherwise, without relying on my archnemesis, TheBus. This will be my finest moment.

In other news, the NHSCC is bringing the action back to Hopkinton! We've booked the date, booked the bands (including the always fabulous Jonee Earthquake Band), and now we're making all the other arrangements. The only setback at the moment is Scrimmy, our new guitarist, who broke his hand last weekend. It looks as though he'll probably recover by the time the show comes, but it sucks for now. Portions of the door proceeds may go to assisting him with hospital bills.

Also, I've been applying to a flurry of new jobs. A harsh reality check came to me in the form of repayment slips from my lending agencies, so my easy stint at the Planet is fleeting. I found a great state job that I think I would be perfect for, that I am certainly qualified for, and that pays FAT stacks (of dollar bills). Keep your fingers crossed for me, folks; this could change everything.

Finally, been getting things arranged for Auckland. Financial aid paperwork is being processed, and I've been looking into housing. A student flat (apartment) in the city runs about $100 a week, which is about $70 a week US. Tuition isn't all that bad, either, so I may be able to cover the brunt of it with federal dollars and personal savings. The kiwis make so much sense.

Hoard your nuts, squirrels; winter is coming.

Ollie-ollie-observations:
-I now weigh less than my driver's license says I do. Hurrah for exercise!
-I need to find a band from HHS to come play the show. Anyone know any?
-I could totally go for a Dole Whip...

Mahalo!
