After much waiting, and baiting of breath, and crossing of fingers, the offer we made on the house we desire has been accepted! We open escrow today and have our home inspection scheduled for Saturday morning. So exciting! We still have to make it through the probate court confirmation, which will require an even longer period of waiting in limbo ( Read more... )

Indeed. It is rather bigger than we actually need at the moment, but what we really fell for was the quarter acre lot right on the edge of a open hills with a regional park. And, since we were able to get it down to our budgeted price range anyway, the extra space certainly won't hurt. We'll have plenty of space for guests.
