Here I am in a state of excitement and slight bewilderment: oh yikes, where to start, where to start. No, it's not about a story--that's going slow and steady; it's about getting ready for a house full of family and friends to share a feast. My daughter and seven of our friends will be driving through rain, wind, and heaps of soggy leaves to join us for Thanksgiving. We'll eat and talk, laugh and play games, drink and generally be merry. But first there's the cleaning, the shopping, the planning--oh wait, the planning should go before the shopping! As you can see, I'm not highly organized about these things. But no matter, the important things will all be here by Thursday, including the turkey. As always, I feel so blessed to have so much on this holiday. And I wanted to thank you all for sharing your hearts here at LJ. Even though it feels less busy here these days, there is a spirit of support for our writing journeys that I haven't found anywhere else.
"I am so glad you are here. It helps me to realize how beautiful my world is."
~~Rainer Maria Rilke
Wishing you all a day filled with love and good food!
