GY tweeted this pic with his tweet saying: starting rumors. brizzly.com/pic/46D1

A bit of speculation that I have seen, is that it means Wilson goes both ways.  I actually was already thinking this could be possible because a couple of spoilers said House finds out who Wilson's secret companion is,but they never say secret woman.  Probably reaching ( Read more... )

It's always possible that bad things will happen, but Wilson has been a main character since season one. I was recently rewatching season one, something Hilson fans might be urged to do at this time, and it really struck me how fundamental he is to the show, to House as a character. Someone said to me a couple days ago that most of the major character arcs could be seen as the ebb and flow of their relationship and it is true. House and Cuddy's relationship is not only not going too well, but is liable to only get worse. Plus, and I like to throw this around just to spread around a little hope, David Shore basically admitted that Huddy would end, seeing as he said in an interview that it would not be an on/off relationship "once it does end". When House's relationship with Cuddy has been milked for all it's worth and its husk has been thrown aside, if they get rid of Wilson there will be nobody in House's personal life. Nobody. They need him, because back in seasons 1, 2, 3 and 4, and most of 6 and some of 5, Wilson really was, even with little bits of Cameron, Cuddy and Stacy poking through, the only person who consistently sought House's companionship.

Very very true. I hope they don't run out of time with the whole thing with the networks fighting. I don't want it to end on Huddy because they couldn't reach an agreement for S8. I like how you explained H/W through all of House's relationships. I've always thought that they belonged together just based on how they were written, then they started pushing how much he loves Cuddy and I just couldn't swallow what they were feeding us. It made no sense based on earlier seasons. Here's to hoping :)

Although it seemed on the surface to be about House loving Cuddy, I'm not sure if it's about that so much as it's about House trying to be someone he's not. It's probably the longest character arc they've ever done, starting in season five and still going on in season seven. And actually, the subject of House changing for love was present in season one with Cameron, season two with Stacy, and just... Continued and continued. It's not a good thing, though, and isn't in line with the show's theme. This show isn't really a surface show so much as "what's beneath the surface". Even Huddy wasn't a surface thing until some time in season five. A lot of major things were very much below the surface for a long time. I have always and still think House and Wilson belong together, because Huddy is a pretty nasty thing and like I said I don't think it makes sense considering the show's themes. ("Everybody lies", "People don't change" and "You can't always get what you want".) See, it acts against Huddy.

With that said, I'm taking a step back from the show and getting most of my information about the episodes as they air from GHC. I remember watching Help Me and being horrified and saddened and disgusted, so I'm a bit afraid they'll pull a stunt like that again and I'd really rather not be witness to it. ...But I do think eventually this will be over. With Wilson still alive. :)
