Really smart, or really stupid
Sometime this morning, once I am awake and caffeinated enough to deal with the consequences, I am going to send off a very assertive email to my boss addressing some issues that have been building for the last two or three months. The potential results of this range from a better relationship with my new boss to a precipitous job search not of my choosing. I am not expecting much in the middle ground, both because the current state is fast becoming unacceptable, and because I invoke the great and powerful HR in my email as potential mediators. I am armed today with my wits, documented emails, and a recorder.
Things still to do:
1) Get earl grey tea
2) Lookup virginia recording laws
3) Send email
4) Fortify the cubicle
