Well this time with sufficient advance warning we were actually able to be there and see Team Merlin in action! Sadly they didn't get through to the final but they played well. And they guys spent an incredible amount of time signing and posing for their fans and were absolutely lovely. Great day all in all!

So, after the fun that was the BFI screening of the first two episodes of S3, on Monday afternoon jhava, londinensa and I got on the Eurostar to Lille where we picked up a rental car and drove to Pierrefonds (small detour via Parc Asterix...don't ask!).

So, rodneyscat, jhava, beeej and I went on a little outing. There was sunshine. And good food. And champagne. And pink wine. And driving a bad ass Merc (thank you Hertz!) through Paris which is great fun but not something I'll need to do again ( Read more... )
