Ahhh okay. And yeah most of the changes make sense. The one I have the biggest beef with is the omission of the dialog between Harry and Voldemort. It's still an awesome movie regardless and totally worth seeing.

Ahhh that's a quick trip! Where are you from?

Hmm there's lots to do in London on a Saturday morning. Have you been here before? And if so, what have you already done? Also, what kinds of things are you wanting to do? There are tons of free museums that are worth seeing if you're into that. The National Gallery in Trafalger Square has some amazing works of art and the Portrait Gallery next to it is also quite good. Or, it's a bit more of a trek, but the Victoria and Albert Museum is excellent and a favourite to many I know. They have an extensive collection of design related stuff and there's even a theatre section which is quite interesting (and apparently right now has a clip of something DT did showing in it - that's new since I was last there).

Hmm other than museums, if it's nice out there are lots of nice places within central London to just wander. Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens is always nice. As are Green Park and St. James Park which are right by Buckingham Palace. The South bank is also a great place to walk. I'd recommend starting around Waterloo (around the London Eye) and walking east. You'll pass things like the Tate Modern (if you like modern art it's worth a look - it's free!), the globe etc.... (There's a ton to see all along the south bank) If you walk far enough you'll get to London Bridge and from there you could easily take a quick visit to the Borough market which is my favourite market it London. Saturday is the best day to go there although the earlier you go the better, by midday it will be very crowded. Here's an old post from my blog to my family that has pictures and stuff: http://acanadianinlondon.wordpress.com/2010/07/31/market/.

I could keep going but that's probably enough ideas from me for now :P

(If you're not busy, want to grab breakfast or something at some point? Was telling ickaimp about you, and she perked right up.)

I'm originally from Alabama, but live in Pennsylvania now. I'm spending the week in Liverpool with my husband. Icka is actually going to be wandering the country after I leave. Originally, we were just going to come here for the day and come back, but when Icka joined the group, I persuaded Mike to extend our side trip to three days. It's basically a cost-saving measure and Mike is more of a homebody than a traveler (whereas I am fairly happy to go wandering everywhere.)

We've been sitting here debating the merits of Kensington Palace vs. the Tower of London, but your ideas also sound awesome. I also need to get a picture at King's Cross, and I'd love to see the British Library because one of my favorite series is set there. There's just so much to do! Wehit up 221B Baker Street today. You can see those pictures as part of this album.

(I'll dm you)

Ahh okay. I haven't been to Liverpool yet, you'll have to tell me what it's like. It's nice that you're getting to spend a bit more time in London, it's a great city. My mum's a homebody too... I highly doubt she'll ever make it out here to visit me while I'm living in London. Alas.

Well, keep in mind that both Kensigton Palace and the Tower of London cost money, although both are fun to visit. Still I think the Tower is like £17 which IMO is too much. Mind you, I live here so I tend to be more reluctant to spend money on stuff like that.

Don't worry, we're having the same money doubts as well. The £6 to see the Sherlock Holmes museum was totally worth it (and I got an awesome poster with the book illustrations for my home office.) That's why I'm not really keen on going to the Doctor Who experience.

I haven't done the SH museum yet, I shall have to check that out sometime.

From what I've heard, the DW experience is totally worth it! The only reason I haven't done it yet is because I was working full time on weekdays until last week. I'm actually planning to go to it on Monday with a friend of mine who's leaving town to move back home soon.

Still, since you're here such a short time, I would recommend trying to do some of the free stuff, and in particular I'd focus on things relatively close to where you need to be for your matinee since weekend transit in London can sometimes be dicey (there are often tube closures on weekends. This weekend parts of several lines are down so make sure you check before you travel so you don't get stuck somewhere: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/realtime/track.aspx?offset=weekend
