Wednesday morning I traveled to Quincy Adams via the MBTA Red Line and my parents drove me home briefly before I headed to Brockton to undergo wisdom teeth removal.
The operation itself was the first surgery I've ever undergone, and the first time I've been put under. The surgeon's office accidentially forgot to book my appointment. The surgeon said it was no problem, he didn't need hardly any time at all to do mine. Works for me.
They hooked me up to the monitors. The surgeon came in and explained he wouldn't need the hour he had booked me for, and probably just scheduled in a lunch break. He asked me if he should fire the receptionist who screwed up, and I replied "Everybody makes mistakes." He replied something of the effect of "you better hope I don't."
He then explained he was going to novacaine me to dull the pain, and stuck me with a needle that didn't really hurt. Then the anestesiologist (sp?), who was sitting behind me says "Here's some oxygen" and put a mask over my face (from behind). The next thing I knew, they were taking off the monitors.
No problems. I was up and about in about 2 hours. I only had to take a handful of vicodins, but pretty much every night this week I've had to in order to sleep.
Pretty much just starting to eat softer solid food again after enjoying milkshakes, applesause, pudding and jello for 2 days or so.
Have to head back next week to get the stitches out. Ick.

Other than that, not too much is up. Met up with Kyle before the operation last week when he returned from Virginia.
---
Moving to West Village E in 2 weeks. Can't wait. Finally have a nice locale for the fall. Also get to work under Seth, so I can't complain about that either.
---
I'm on duty for the last 2 times this summer on Sunday and Monday. I was smart enough to do them ahead of the big conference coming in on Wednesday. After that I start packing up my stuff in anticipation of the move.
Brittni is moving to DavB (where I am now), so we're swapping TVs so we don't have to move that far and keeping the kitchen stuff in Dav as well. Can't complain about not having to move things.

Birthday is coming up on the 17th, also being the first day of RA training... joy.
But the Beach Boys are coming to do a free concert next week, so I'm excited about that. As long as the weather is nice Britt and I will probably be heading over.

Other than that just spent a lot of time this week on message boards as I couldn't really do much else. Watched a bunch of Law and Order reruns, History Channel, and Red Sox games which, for the most part, was good. I was prone to passing out thanks to the drugs, so nothing too stressful.

Lots of video games coming out in the next few months I'm really excited about:
In order of desire:
- Mass Effect (360): Bioware's (Knights of the Old Republic) new RPG. Has been getting huge critical acclaim at E3 and looks like it might be the game of the year at this rate. Comes out in November.
- Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS): The handheld Zelda game that will probably be more amazing than TP. Easily one of my most desired games. Comes out in October
- Mario Galaxy (Wii): The next in the original Mario series, looks absolutely awesome. Comes out probably in December.
- Rock Band/Guitar Hero III (360/Wii): With the huge success of Guitar Hero, the two components of the game have split off for Guitar Hero III (which is more songs for the guitar enthusiast), and Rock Band, which adds drums and karoake to the mix, with online dueling over Xbox Live. One of the coolest concepts since co-op multiplayer was invented. Rock Band comes out in November, and Guitar Hero III early next year.
- Bioshock (360): New RPG Sequel to System Shock developed by 2k Games. Al lot of underwater stuff, looks really awesome, lots of interaative stuff. Comes out in August
- Mario Strikers (Wii): Just came out, but looks pretty awesome. Mario + Soccer = Win.
- Super Smash Brothers (Wii): The sequel to the awesome Gamecube game, probably the definitve party/fighting game. Coming out in November.
- Assasin's Creeed (360): Based during the Crusades, you play an assassin that goes and has to kill people in the middle of cities and such. Looks sweet. Comes out in November I believe.
- Call of Duty 4 (360): COD Finally goes to modern warfare, and was a huge hit and surprise at E3. I belive this one is coming out in December, but it's too early to tell.
- Halo 3 (360): No introduction necessary. Comes out in September
- The Orange Box (360): Half-Life 2 + a ton of other stuff, online multiplayer, etc. It's got so much stuff... awesome.
- Metroid Prime 3 (Wii): Not really my type of game, but it's hugely anticipated. Comes out at the end of this month.

Well it feels like the Vicodin is hitting again, and I have to head back to Boston soon, so I'm going to cut this short. Good night!
