Tuesday: Got all excited about working at a temp agency up the road, only to discover on the return for an orientation that it was actually the usual placement; for a warehouse area I couldn't walk to.
Wednesday: Decided to get shitfaced in recognition of it being a full year since being fired.
Thursday: Woke up around 4 p.m. or so, made some sweet tea (with proper sugar this time). Matt says his brother's temp agency is looking for more clients and tells me I could make some money working at the AJC through the night.
Thursday 11 p.m.-Friday 5.am.: Insert ads and sections into the Clayton News Daily and Henry Daily Herald papers. If you picked up either paper Friday morning, there's a 10-11% chance (I forget if we had a total of 9 or 10 people doing the job) it was handled by me (sorry, it took me a while to figure out the proper order and alignment they wanted). My hands had a good soaking of print ink and except for constantly standing up it's not that bad a job, just rough on my back.
Friday proper: Crashed at Matt's parents' place in High Falls. Woke up half past 11 and had French toast and OJ for breakfast. Start to head off to the temp agency DJ's involved with and find out no one's there yet. We reconoitter to Georgia Power to pay the bill on deadline, then to the house for a change in clothes and to relax. Headed back out around 3:10 and didn't arrive at the agency until 4:40 thanks to traffic from both Labor Day and NASCAR in town. THEN, we were stuck waiting until around 5:20 because the employees were stuck in traffic as well (and they normally close at 4 it seems). Eventually we got hold of them, and all they needed due to being behind in their work was my name, numbers, address, and how I file my taxes. I pick up my pay on Wednesday and have to call them Mondays and Wednesdays.
Friday night: Matt fixed Sloppy Joes (haven't had them in ages). As the evening wound down, he lost track of how much he'd consumed. I'd hear him mutter and swear at several points, but he didn't seem to know he was doing it when I quipped "I thought you were a Marine but you sound more like Navy right now."
Saturday evening: Woke up about an hour ago. Had waffles and, after having milk that had gone quite potently awful (and a day before the printed date no less), decided to have some orange juice instead. Now just waiting until 4 to wake Matt up, then we'll be stopping by my grandparents and then off to Treefort for 5 hours of D&D.
