Lion-o's room at the Cat's Lair
Lion-o was sitting in his room, alone with his thoughts. He thought about the other Thunderians that got separated from the Thundercat flagship in the heat of battle and wondered if they survived. He thought about his father and how he may have faced his final moments before the destruction of Thundera. And Lion-o contemplated how lucky he was to be alive after so many close calls.
The most recent one had happened just a few weeks ago. Lion-o had set out on patrol, confident in his abilities with the Sword of Omens to take on whatever came at him. Within a few miles of the Cat's Lair, he was blindsided by a half-dead creature that easily overpowered him. The thing - which called itself Mumm-ra The Everliving - very nearly made off with the sword before Lion-o could even call for help. It was only by sheer luck that the creature caught its own reflection in the sword's blade and fled in terror. Lion-o limped back to the Cat's Lair, badly shaken by the experience. He hadn't left the safety of the Cat's Lair since the incident.
