Just in case you have never done it, reading Neil Gaiman over dinner is very much a lottery. Sometimes its a pleasant diversion while you eat. Sometimes it makes you completely lose you appetite. I don't know what it is about his short stories, but I am often enthralled and repulsed at the same time. Sometimes I really don't want to continue on, but it feels like something will happen if I don't finish the story. And whatever it is, it can't be good...and I have always finished his stories in one sitting...
