Car Wrecks

So, on the way home from a friends house tonight, I saw a car wreck. I did the whole pull over, check the passengers, wait for the cops, etc. No one was hurt, though it was rather spectacular. But what got me thinking was Mark made the comment about how wrecks are always quiet.

I had never thought about it before, but they are always quiet it seems like. Not the loud crash and screeching metal the movies show, but almost silence or just everyday noises. If you see the crash, chances are you are in a car or far enough away, so you can't hear most of it. If your in a wreck big enough to cause a lot of noise, chances are, you don't remember those parts. I'm not sure if it is that you physically can't remember it, or if you just don't Seems like those moments when so much change should be loud, but that are eerily silent. But that's why movies have sound tracks.
