I went to bed yesterday about 2 or 3 pm. I woke up at 11pm in total darkness and silence. Power is out. I checked the breakers, they were fine. I went outside with the flashlight. The power line to my house looks ok, as far as I could tell in the dark, but there are missing branches near the pole. I came inside, and checked the battery operated thermometer with the flashlight. It was 61 degrees. Too cold for the tropical sun conure, trixie, to have survived :(
Consumers is not yet open. I have no idea if it's going to be a day or a week to fix this. I'm at the neighbor's again.
Oh, and I turn 42 today. No celebrations, no parties, no cards, no presents. All I want is my power back. And I miss my wife.
