Speechless
I know I don't use this much anymore. I just haven't had anything really to say for a while, and while my day to day activities may be interesting to me...but they really aren't...I'm pretty sure that they are pretty boring...work, play, sleep repeat.
However, I'm so completely excited right now...that I just have to make a post. The only problem is that I'm so excited, I can't figure out all the stuff I want to say haha.
The basics are...I bought myself a new 26" LCD HDTV on Sunday. While it was a very nice picture, watching regular analog TV with it wasn't the greatest experiences. So I picked up the HD Cable box from Rogers and BAM...I'm blown away by pretty much all aspects of Television right now. I can't WAIT to watch my favorites on this bad boy. LOST should look particularly good, I should think. Not to mention the hockey games...:)
So, just when I thought I couldn't get any happier...I did. I managed to snag a PS3, and that...combined with the new TV, and connected via the new HDMI cable I picked up...just absolutely knocks every single thing I've ever used off my favorites list. This thing...it's like a big, heavy, black, metal block of bliss. The Blue Ray drive is spectacular. Movies are GORGEOUS on this thing. Games...well, playing Ridge Racer actually had me thinking for a moment that I was watching a real race on High Def TV. It's that intense looking. Oh, and thanks to the motion sensing wireless controllers, I can also drive the controller like a steering wheel! You look ridiculous, but it's so much fun!
All told, I spent myself to near death, but I'm completely excited at all of the possibilities from here. Those who know me know that I'm a multimedia whore of the highest degree, and that I loves me my games and movies...and all I can say is...DAMN. This is going to be FUN!
Ok, my system update (over the internet via my wireless router, thanks to the integrated WiFi on the PS3) is done, so I'll leave it at that....more games to play and movies to watch.
