Alright you silly people, anybody who thought that I actually thought the language itself, Latin, was stupid... I was talking about studying it in High School.
I respect people who have careers in Latin, but the majority of highschoolers who take it I disaprove of.

And now, for a rant:
Latin is stupid. I'm sure that when people spoke it, it was fine, but now, it's retarded.
Why would you study a language nobody talks? Well, I've heard the following reasons:
- It helps you on the SAT, because you become good at indentifying word roots.
Why is that retarded, well, because you could take Italian, or French, or Spanish, and have the same benefit. Seriously, the roots in Italian and in Latin are the same.
- You can easily learn a romance language once you speak Latin.
Hey moron! You can also easily learn a romance language if you speak another romance language... say, Italian, or Spanish, or French. So why why waste 4 years of High School learning something you'll be using to learn another language when you could just learn that other language?
- You can read the classics in their original Latin.
How many books are there written in Latin that you honestly want to read? Few. On the other hand, you could read italian novels in Italian, you could read Asterix and Obelix in French, or a poem in Spanish. Not just that, there's more literature in Spanish than in Latin!
- It looks good for college.
Stop whoring youself out to colleges! You have no life!
