Messed up

Hey all, so I messed up and didn't post yesterday, so here is two posts in one :o

DAY 2:

Today was mostly lazing around to get over Jet lag. Mind you there is only 2 hrs 30 min difference, I don't think I even registered a jet lag...

Went down the road for breakfast, had my first unpleasant experience. On the way home I was followed by a little beggar boy, the kid must have been all of about 3 or 4 yrs old if he was lucky. It's hard to try to distance yourself from that sort of thing, especially when you have a nephew a similar age. You can't help but feel for them, but on the other foot you can't help but wonder if he really was in need or if he had been put up to it and used by someone else as seems to happen there quite a bit as well. Still a morose and sombering issue none the less.

The girls all had work today so we kind of just lazed around and chin wagged. Aunty Nirene is a rather switched on old lass. She ended up taking us down the road to a little market area just before dinner, she wanted to pick up some bits and pieces to cook for us. Dad and I also picked up some PJ's as we had both forgotten (The girls ragged us about this quite a bit before they left for work).

DAY 3:

Trip into Mysore today, left home early (0800hrs is early over there, normal seems to be about 1000hrs) Stopped for breakfast about 0930/1000 not sure where but it was a nice place, great food and a top cuppa.

Mysore Palace was the next stop, and wow, that building is a hulking mass of awsomeness, it's huge. They allowed photos outside the palace proper, but they wouldn't allow photos inside which was a pity as that is where the most impressive stuff was. Intricate carvings in doors, walls, pillars, some doors were identical to their neighbour, we spent about half an hour at one pair of doors trying to find a fault that would break their imaculate bond of identicity (if thats a word)

Brindivan Gardens was the next stop, after lunch of course. Again Wow, these gardens are impressive, more so for the massive back drop of a dam wall, the dam wall was getting into all our photos, very unprofessional of it lol.

We left the gardens about sunset (roughly 1830 hrs) the trip home was an interesting one in the dark. Traffic seems to know no time limits there and even at roughly 2200 hrs when we got close to home the traffic was still about double what we get on the freeway during the day.

Ok so days 2 and 3 up, still sorting through photos so I'll get those up soon, hope your enjoying the story so far, I think it's a little bit of a long way round doing it like this, but it also keeps from having too big an entry all at once.

For now, enjoy.
