PREFACE: This post SHOULD have been completed on the 5th, however, time constraints did not allow me to do so. So... consider this as an entry on the 5th, not the 6th, if you would.
Spent all of yesterday busily going from one place to another: first to church (where Dad preached a remarkably good sermon, I might add,) then to lunch, and finally to D&D (new campaign, new DM, and a new character to boot). I've finalized the Enhasan lawyer/sorcerer character, and have created a remarkably good backstory, methinks. He's the stereotypical angsty bishonen with mental issues, but I think that that enhances his character, rather than detracts from it (in a campaign like this, with so many anime moments already*, he's not that far out of place.) He's also the party's only arcane artillery (most of the group involves either nature/divine-utilizers or front-liners, as is usual with this group,) and possibly the best leader of the group. So... not too bad, all told.
The only real complaint that I had about this 4th of July was that I was too tired to see any of the fireworks. Ah well, they're technically banned within the city limits anyway, although that didn't stop some people, so I suppose that I haven't missed out too greatly. I'm just surprised that America's been doing so well lately... then again, I suppose that I shouldn't be. :)
Today, on the other hand, was spent in cleaning. The room's looking much better, and soon I may actually have enough time to play the Metroid Prime/Threads of Fate/Valkyrie Profile that Wayne got. We'll have to see about that, though. I would also mention that I've gone through the comics that Wayne got from free comic book day, and... they were worth every cent. :-/ At least he got some miniatures that could be useful.
