Adjectives and nouns

(LJ is no longer blocked in China. Glee! I have no idea why this is so, especially since lots of other stuff has been blocked recently, and I don't know how long it will last, but I will enjoy it as long as it does.)

I had a small debate with my boss over the usage of "the China market" vs. "the Chinese market". I strongly preferred the second; he was ambivalent, but leaned toward the first. They are both commonly used; Google gives a slight edge toward the former, though that's including lots of groups like the "China Market Research Council" (not exactly the same thing), as well as the separate if related "China's market".

I will post my reasoning later, but I'm wondering if any of you have opinions.
