DOA: Boss vs Evergamer : Winner, Evergamer! 6-4
Trash Talk. It's a big part of video gaming nowadays. Sad, but true. I can hold my own in most games, not being a complete punk bitch. I do have some skillz. My boss made his foolish challenge without realizing these skills. For 2 nights straight he just laughed when I said I was gonna win, said everytime we fought, he would beat me, and then kill Kasumi, cause Ayane has the ability everytime she wins a match against Kasumi in a certain level, he said we'd even record it to his X-box, just to show how cocky he was. Foolish Mortal....
Our fight didn't begin right after work though. We watched the game intro, which is really good, but the Onimusha 3 intro is still the best that has been put out so far, by fighting Coreography alone. Then he let his friend play the story mode a bit while he looked some stuff up on the internet. I took the controller after a bit and then went through the game 17 times with Kasumi, to unlock all 20 of her outfits. By this time, I was ready to lay some beatdown.
He is good, there is no doubt about it, but his Ayane isn't better than my Kasumi. He is really good though. We battled heavily for 8 rounds, locking in at 4-4. He then passed the controller to his friend to try his hand at me. He has natural talent. Then my boss said it was time to call it a night, but before that, our final matches. He chose Ayane....I chose Kasumi.
The battle to follow was fierce, he thought he had me a times, but my counters and my Moonsault Kick even the odds out fairly quickly. My Knife Edge strikes were too fast for him to react to. He fell before my might. Match 1 to me.
He sets the game to record. The final match, the one for the bragging rights. Round 1 to me in fairly standard order. Round 2, he stepped up the game a notch it seemed. I won't lie, Luck saved me tonight. He threw just the right punch at just the wrong time, as I had accidentaly went for a counter. The life bars were neck and neck, next Combo...hell..Next MOVE would end it. *GRASP, TWIST, CHOP!* Ayane laid at Kasumi's feet, defeated. Caught in her counter.
I smiled, and I didn't do the "You just got p0wn3d by the 3v3rg4m3r!" dance. I watched joyfully as he regretfully clicked the save icon after the match, saving my hard earned victory to his hard drive. I said "Good game boss, I guess I ain't as bad as you thought." He grimaced. "All you got is that Quick combo, you know that, right? That's your whole game. That makes you Cheese." I grined. "Yeah, I know." He went on like that for a minute, and then we left so I could go home. Victorious.
