Summer School

Jul 01, 2008 19:33

I started teaching summer school this week, or, as I like to view it, I started being an expensive baby-sitter.  See, the class I am supervising is all computer based, so I really do nothing but sign kids on and make sure they aren't screwing around.

On the upside, I get a lot of reading done.  Too bad there's not really air conditioning.  I dread the day it is 100 or something.  Ick.

On the downside, the school's internet filter is so strict that I can't do anything online.  I can't play on facebook, I can't read blogs, I can't use LiveJournal, I can't look at YouTube, I can't even listen to NPR--anything "streaming" is blocked.  It's crap.

It is day 2, and I see myself becoming very bored, very quickly.  Let us hope that I will be happier when my paycheck arrives.  Whoohoo!
