I went on a wee bit of a reading binge. First I tore through Tina Fey's "Bossypants" and loved it. I liked the chapter about her father, especially, and her statement that she has high expectations for the men in her life because she has a strong father figure.
One of my favorite quotes: "I think someone should design exercise machines that reward people with sex at the end of their workouts, because people will perform superhuman feats for even the faint hope of that."
Fey also offered great writing advice.
Next up was Elmore Leonard's "When the Women Come Out to Dance," a series of short stories including the one that inspired "Justified." Then I read Teresa Medeiros' "The Pleasure of Your Kiss." On Saturday (and half of today), pretty much nothing but reading got done. I finished re-reading Constance O'Day Flannery's "Time After Time" and then stayed up late to read Kathy Reich's second young adult novel, "Seizure." Sharon M. Draper's "Out of My Mind" follows the story of Melody, an 11-year-old girl with cerebral palsy who cannot speak or write. It's a lovely book, written for the youth market, but very much worth reading.

Right now I'm keeping busy during the game and glancing up for the commercials. Loving the car commercials this year.
