I finally got some reading in, finishing "The Toll Gate" by Georgette Heyer, which was OK, but won't make my Top 10 list of favorites by her. This morning I finished "Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake" by Sarah Maclean, and it was marvelous. Looks like it will be the first in a trilogy, with the next out in two months.
Dinner tonight will be leftovers, but I'm looking forward to it. Jace and I made a deep dish pizza last night, complete with an enormous sausage patty. We used fire-roasted diced tomatoes to top it off, and it was wonderful. Used up the last of my whole wheat flour making the crust, so I need to pick up flour at the grocery store. I followed my Aunt Kathy's recipe for "Uno's Pizza" in the family cookbook.
I was thinking about my aunt this weekend, after spending time with her sons and daughters. She is so very missed. I think the family needs "WWKD?" bumper stickers. Kathy always gave it to you straight (and was never one to pass a Dairy Queen.)
A friend on Facebook who recently lost her father posted that she really missed him and his good common sense today. Her father was a great man, and I was tempted to suggest she ask herself "WWDD?" The first D could mean Dad for her, and since her father's name was Dave, it works for others who knew him, and miss his great stories.
