This weekend is the Physics Festival at A&M. Stephen Hawking is giving a lecture. All is right with the world... except that the tickets are already sold out. BUT! There is an overflow room with a "live-audio feed", where the tickets are $2.00. So totally worth it. There's also a lecture being given by
Rocky Kolb entitled, "The Dark Side of the Universe". That should be pretty bad ass as well. I tried to convince Emily to go with me, but she couldn't possibly step foot within Aggie-land. & I understand that completely... but Stephen freakin' Hawking, man! I'd walk through the fiery blazes of Hell to see him lecture. Anyway, everyone should go. It's going to be great. I might even wear my UT shirt.
Finding out about the Phys. Fest. was pretty much the highlight of my day. A runner-up was discussing Karl "MC" Rove with my Gov't teacher. Ah, gotta love the state of our country. Good times. But other than that, it was a typical Tuesday. Oh! I quit my job. No, not because I wanted to... because I had to. It was interfering with school & shit, I've only got five & a half weeks left. It's not worth it. After I graduate, I can work in a restaurant to my heart's drunken content. But until then, it's not fair to my teachers that I (a) Not show up for their class & demand special treatment come end of the 6-weeks or (b) Show up & make a complete ass of myself by passing out while smelling of seafood & beer. So that's that.
Quote of the Day: "Hey mam, do you know where all our old Beatrix Potter videos are? I was thinking about smoking a big doobie & watchin' 'em."
