Last night's dream could be described as "The Dr. J Variety Hour." Honestly... just about the whole dream seemed to feature him in a starring role. It was very odd....
It seemed to begin at school. We were leaving for spring break, I guess, and Dr. J told me he would be visiting, or something. I went to stay at Grandma's house, just like that time in junior year when Mom and Dad went to Hawaii over spring break, and Sean and Richie and I were all chilling out there. I seemed to have brought just a small overnight bag for the whole week, which was probably rather silly of me, but whatever.
The weather was nice. I noticed that when I went outside to meet Dr. J, as he would drive up in his minivan. (No idea what he actually drives, but probably not that, considering he only has one kid, and his car is one he bought used from his folks.) We stood out in Grandma's driveway, talking about all sorts of inane things -- the weather, the flowers, etc., even a bit of o-chem. Then he mentioned that at the end of the week he was going to treat me to a view of the ocean floor 412 feet down (yes, he was that specific) by swimming me down there himself. Like, on his back. ROFL. I was like, "But won't we run out of air?" He just grinned and was all, "Nah, I'm a really strong swimmer." I just raised my eyebrow and started worrying, lol. On the one hand, yeah, it'd be hella cool to go down and visit the frelling ocean floor. On the other hand, what if halfway down Dr. J got tired, and then oops! There's no oxygen down here! Bye-bye world!
So it rolled around to the end of the week, and Dr. J drove up to pick me up for our undersea adventure, ROFL. I was getting really scared by this point, especially when he said he would offer me some Valium so I wouldn't panic underwater. o_0 I ran into the house to get my glasses, but they were my pair from sixth grade, big and not strong enough, and also they seemed to be slathered with grease. So then I ran into the bathroom and started trying to put on my contacts, but when I went to put the left one, it dried up, like, completely before I could get it into my eye. So, not wanting to stick a solid hardened object into my eye, I hurriedly tried to clean my glasses. Then I realized I needed a swimsuit, and I reached into the bureau and found my old purple one complete with saggy bottom. I put that on real quick and then a t-shirt and some sweatpants, and ran outside. Then I remembered I still had to pack up my stuff so he could take me back to school later, so then I ran around frantically stuffing things into overnight bags. At last I made it into the car, and it turned out his family was coming to the beach, at least as far as the sand and all that. But I was still terribly nervous about going 412 feet underwater on a single breath with no scuba gear, no anything, just relying on Dr. J being in very good shape. In fact, I was so worried that I woke up with my heart pounding. LOL. I don't think Gina would make a very good scuba diver!
And now I'm off to take a shower. Wow, that was weird. LOL!
o-chem,
dreams
