Not gonna lie, I do think Charles has the ability to be freaking terrifying. In fact, I'm sure there's a living breathing monster lurking deep, deep down in that abyss known as his mind, somewhere. But! I love how you've handled him, and Erik. How you've kept Charles..light, serious, knowing, curious to an almost overwhelming and pushy degree, but knows it, and how Erik is struggling and basically thinking and doing two different things at once. That he can function so passably and well like that, and how the confessions came about and jfkdsl. And then the UST being solved, my goodness. The kisses, and then the mindblowing sexy bits. I just.
I think I want to marry this fiction. Maybe you. Stay with me forever bby.

I'm sorry. That probably sounded ridiiiculously creepy right there. fdjksl.

I'd definitely like to explore, if not evil!Charles, at least very scary, manipulative, cold Charles in, say, post-divorce fic. *sniffle* Charles' brain must be a very alarming place; Erik only saw a little corner of it, really, in this.

*wibbles at your comments* I'm so glad you liked the characterization for them. Erik was much more of a challenge for me to write than Charles, him being so reticent and contradictory, and I'm glad it worked well for you. And that you enjoyed the confessions! hehe! Charles is such an ass, lol, not quite bold enough to say anything until it became really, really obvious, and yet definitely not above flirting completely shamelessly.

I will so accept your proposal. It was totes not creepy. These two dudes... they just spray love all over the universe. XD XD XD

That..I would like to see, honestly. I wish it was done more, or it already is but I haven't run into it as frequently as I would like. I don't know, but I do love seeing..I guess dark!Charles is the most common term? I mean not necessarily evil but definitely not the happy-go-lucky-positive guy that we usually see. I like seeing his more..'human' moments, I guess I could call it ( ... )

I have a fic rattling around where Erik visits Charles post-divorce and despite Erik keeping the helmet on Charles knows exactly the right things to say to just break him. And he does. Particularly I'd have Erik beg Charles for forgiveness once he realizes Charles is paralyzed. Charles, after having some time to think about it, would have accepted that the bullet was a complete accident. However, he would really want Erik to apologize to him for not listening to Charles' begging him to stop the missiles. And Erik of course would still be thinking there was nothing to apologize for, as far as that was concerned. And then Charles would just rake him over the coals for it, saying "If you couldn't stop for humanity, or for decency, or for what's right... I hoped you would stop for me, because I asked you to. And you wouldn't. And that's why I won't let you stay here again, Erik." OH GOD THE ANGST ugggggh lol ( ... )

Oh goodness. Oh goodness. Twist the knife Charles, twist it. Would you..be able to find this fiction again, so I can read it? I mean, if you can't or don't want to it's all good, I won't be all "GRRRR" but it sounds interesting and I'd like to read it if I could. No pressure though! I have the hardest time keeping track of fictions myself at times. fdjksl.

Ffff yes. I could see it happening when he's younger, too, before he's more..positive and self-restrained and such. I'd also love to see that drag scene they kept mentioning in the interviews. XD Goodness I hope they put that on there. fjdksl.

Yes, exactly. I actually forgot about it until I saw it mentioned a while ago in another fiction and then in yours and just. Yes. It does need to at least be acknowledged more. It's kind of in how he holds himself, too. He's more stiff, guarded, alert, even when he's 'relaxed' he's still tense and aware of everything so vividly it's just jfdkls. And I'm sure killing others is a part of it, like a hunter of sorts ( ... )

I haven't seen a fic like that, it's one I intend to write! :-D Except, not happy face. More like, OH GOD ANGSTY SADNESS FACE. Another bit I want to put in, Erik brokenly asking Charles how Charles knows just what to say to hurt him, especially when he's unable to read Erik's mind. Then I'd have Charles turn and look at Erik with those eyes -- cold, stark, and yet bright with tears -- and say softly, "You forget, Erik, that I used to know you rather well." OH GOD INFINITE SADNESS ( ... )

Oh! I thought you meant it was one you read. Oookay, I gotcha now. I'm looking forward to that then. fjdksl. And oh goodness. The angst. It hurts so good. And that line. That line. I can't. fjdkslfjdsl. THY HEART HATH BEEN TORN. TO SHREDS, JUST TO CLARIFY. jfkdsl.

Yessss. And I heard some rumor that there will be a lot of Charles/Moira? Which I..hope..is not true. Not. I can't. Moira is just such a cockblock. I can't deal with her. fjdksl.

You know you..do have a point. He wouldn't, would he. If anything he'd probably be supremely uncomfortable. XD And..wary and guarded and secretive. Well, more secretive. And yes, I don't think he'd know how to deal with it like a normal person, like you said. Which actually reminds me, I keep forgetting that he was once married and had a daughter. It's just so..his current image is just so not that it's crazy! To think he used to be a happily married father at one point and now he's a lone-wolf killer with severe trust issues, among a bajillion other issues and just. Eee. I think Fassbender put it ( ... )

Muahahahaha, angst! *delights in it* It's odd because usually I'm an angst whore, but there's so much angst already inherent in Erik and Charles -- and we know what they will turn out to be like, as old men, and the angst that's there, too -- that I haven't been able to bear to write it yet ( ... )
